I'm want to buy a new staff bag and I can't decide which one. I think I want the r7 (Black) one but I haven't looked at it closely yet.

I've always liked the Titleist staff bags. For one, I've always been a fan of their equipment. But mostly because I like the simplicity of their design. I think the TM bags get "busy" with their color schemes. I think they're all quality bags, as most real staff bags are. It comes down to what catches your eye the most since you play a mixed bag.

Also, just a WOOT for me, 100th post :D :fool:  :ok:

I like the Bridgestone bag, although you don't have any Bridgestone in the bag, so I don't know if you want to carry a bag of a manufacturer whose clubs you don't play.

The Titleist staff bag is timeless, and very classy.  I also like the Callaway staff bag in Black / Silver / Spice.

The way today's staff bags are made, you really can't go wrong with any of your choices.

Good luck in your choice,

-Thomas

All look like great bags...If you are happy with your irons and see them staying in the bag for a while i would match them with the mizuno staff.

Get a Japan issue staff bag. Most OEMs have a different model in Japan. Check out my WITB pics. I have a Bridgestone "J's" staff bag circa 1998. It is just awesome. Major $$$ though.

I have a mizuno staff bag and I love it.  I am considering a new hx tour callaway bag though with the orange trim.  Unless I purchase the Japanese x18 driver which has a blue and white head cover....

I would really like to find a unique Mizuno bag that no one else is using though...

I just picked up this one a little bit ago. I like it cause it's simple. Its smaller than the standard at 8.5" opening. I can tell you one thing DO NOT GET A 10.5", unless your on tour. They don't fit on carts without turing them sideways. I would go with an 8.5" or 9.5".

Thnanks for the advice guys. I was thinking of the Mizuno one but I think it's too blue. I'm now deciding between the r7 non-special edition bag and the titleist s63. Does anyone know how big the TM one is? Does anyone also know which one is more expensive?

I like the TM one alot but it depends on the size. I'll get it if they have one that's smaller than 9.5 inches.

I just got a PING White 9.5T Bag and love it even though i have mostly Titleist clubs. I chose the white because I often play in 35-40 degrees celsius heat in Summer here in Australia and the bag should stay a touch cooler than black.

I like the Mizzuno, classic and simple color scheme, 9.5 is the only way to go. If money is no object the mostly white Japanese version is awsome.

I love my Sonartec bag. The colors are dark so it does not get dirty. Even at 10.5" it will fit the cart (barely), and the pockets are everywhere. A great pic is in my WITB thread.

I agree that the TM R7 bags are a little busy.  I like the color scheme of the R5 series better (I really like mine since I won it in a drawing).

G'day tanj, I live in Adelaide. We don't quite have the same range of high caliber courses as you do in Melbourne. The only good course I've been able to tee it up on in Melbourne, is Woodlands, where they hold the Victorian Open.

Whereabouts do you play?

The R7 non-SE comes in a 9.5 and a 10.5 top.  I have the 9.5 one and could not be happier with it.  Most weekends when I carry on my home course I'll use the R7 stand bag and carry, but when I go to new courses or ones that require a cart I'll use the staff bag.

I play at Kingswood and Victoria but I am going to stop Kingswood membership when the fees come around again. I've played the Grange down at Adelaide and its pretty good. Woodlands is pretty good course too... my dad absolutely loves it.

The very best Staff bags you can own are as follows:

1- The 10.5" Burton Premier Pinehurst Bag
2- The 11" Belding Tour Staff Bag

I own both bags in "Stealth" Black Leather with brass trim,
(i.e. brass buckles and zippers). I also have the matching
black leather headcovers for both bags.  The wood #'s on
top are gold to match the bag trim.   Otherwise these bags
are completely plain, (no logos or names).

Unfortunately, bags of this quality are quite hard to find.
Definitely not something you can pick up from your local
Golf Retailer or Pro Shop.

Staff bags are worthless.  They are big and bulky when it is not needed.  They dont stand up well at the range, and they cost alot.

I have the 2005 Cleveland Staff bag with a 10.5" opening, I really like the design of it, and it's great for display. Since I am 15, I really don't need a staff bag, but it was a gift, so I use it to keep my clubs in during the offseason. The compartments are very roomy, and if you have any Cleveland sticks, they find a very nice home in one of these.
