GolfWRX is inside the ropes at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona, where 64 of the world's top players are battling it out for Walter Hagen Cup.

In 2012, American Hunter Mahan downed Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy 2&1 to take the title.  This year, Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods head in as 1 & 2 seeds with Mahan trying to join Tiger as the only back-to-back champions in history.

Brandt Snedeker (injury) and Phil Mickelson (choice) are skiping the event, but the field is still loaded with talent.  Players include Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Luke Donald, Justin Rose, Louis Oostheizen, Adam Scott, Lee Westwood, Bubba Watson, Ian Poulter, Jason Dufner, Steve Stricker,  Sergio Garcia, Keegan Bradley, Ernie Els, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler and many more.

Interesting to see Rory with the Covert Performance 3wood. Wasnt he playing 3 and 5 VR Ltd in Dubai? Other thing I noticed is Keegan and Ryan Moore rocking graphite iron shafts.


Also I'm sure I'm not the only one when I say... Get a shot of Tigers driver to confirm or debunk a potential new addition to his bag. I'm keen to see either way.

Looks like the Rocketbladez Tour irons are no longer in Dustin Johnson's bag. Els with FJ's on. Also, does anyone notice a difference in some of the Nike Blades?  It looks like Oleson's are more of a Satin finish than some of the other sets.

Rory had the performance in play on Friday of Dubai.  Looking through the pictures it looks like he hit a LE off the tee, probably still testing.

Noticed a few interesting things in there...

1. Rory is absolutely ripped now!;
2. He seemed to have a Covert fairway on the range but then in the pics when he is teeing off, it's certainly not a Covert. Was he just trying the Covert out on the range or does he have different 3 and 5 woods?;
3. I didn't realise, you need to have 4 different umbrella sponsors! Haha.;
4. Carl Petterson looks like he has lost weight;
5. Love Manassero's set up
But above all else
6. I can't work out what is worse, Marcel Siem's polo shirt or Webb Simpson's shirt, trouser, belt and shoe combo. The Izod people must let him get dressed in the dark!
