You can't go wrong with all three of these irons, but I've noticed an interesting change between these models.

G15 has a wide sole, but actually had a smaller head toe to heal than both the others.  The G20 was max super game improvement.  Than the G25 toned that all down and slimmed the sole down a lot, but the head is longer toe to heal.  It's just interesting to see how this series has changed over the years.  Ping certainly reinvents the wheel every year, but not the formula for success.  After taking a look at all 3, I'm thinking I might actually like the G15s better, because of the smaller head (just not a fan of long heads).

What's your favorite G series?

I looked at the g25s and tried the 7iron. No real difference to me other than aesthetics. Sticking with my G15s. The driver is another matter.

I have the G15's and compared them in to the G25's in the sim @ GG. Not the best way to compare, but really no discernible difference in performance or feel. I didn't really notice the length of the blade being different, but I wasn't looking for that. The biggest difference was the sole width and the offset. And the G25's look way better than the 15's in my opinion. They look 'smokey' for lack of a better term.

I am sticking with the 15's.

I've compared G15 and 20 side by side, and couldn't see any difference other than the sole and back cavity detailing is different.  G10 is almost identical as well.  G25 is the only one that looks different, but it's not a dramatic change.  Sole is clearly different, less offset in short irons, and top line is thinner.  I don't think the blade length is longer, it just appears that way due to the top line.  In terms of playability, they are all about equal in my experience.  G25 trajectory is same as G10 and G20, which I've played extensively.

Currently use the 15's, but I would also throw in the G5's in the mix for favorite G-series.  They had thinner soles and a nice simplistic look.  Would still be playing those had I not got such a good deal on the 15's.  Plus, they were still cast in the US, unlike the past 4 series.

I haven't played Ping irons since the IO3's. Then they seems to get larger with each iteration and I couldn't even look down at the G20's. The G25's are another matter, the soles have been reduced so you don't see the back of the club until the 4 iron(?) and the darker finish makes the club head look smaller. I'm willing to give them a try now.

I bought the G15's this year, I had the option of the 10, 15 and the 20.  A few weeks after I bought the G15's the G25's came out and I am happy with my choice, they look better to my eye.

Got my G25's today. I have had G2's-G10's-G20's and I will have to say in my short range session and the few holes I played this afternoon that I hit the ball straighter and longer than ever before. I'm a 4 handicap and I hit my 6 iron this afternoon in 45 degree weather about 175 to 180 , way farther than before. Looking forward to this weekend to put them to a true test. I was not sure that I would be happy with my trade but so far so good.

I had g15 and i20's. I just sold the i20's to get fit. Tops on the demo list are the g25. I can't really compare as of yet as I have only hit a demo g25 7 iron into a net but I like the look and a little extra forgiveness on poor days would be a good thing.

Bummer, Have the G15s and was planning on getting G25 irons. Maybe not after hearing they aren't really any better. Still pondering JPX 825s though.

JPX 825s are nice, certainly long, but if you're use to Ping I'd stick with those.  There is nothing bad I can say about the G25 irons.  They are a toned down game improvement club that many players will absolutely love.  The g15 has a look thats a little more traditional color, so some people may like that more.  It's all just personal, all of these are really good.

I know the club test issues are subject to bias and greasing or whatever, but every year ping G series grabs peoples attention in the performance category if not winning it.  Ping has really found a niche and their clubs are just easy to hit.  you can't go wrong.

I just got my G25 irons with Dynamic XP Stiff and have 1 range session and a quick 18 holes. Honestly these aren't any better than my G5s, and I've had G2s,G10s,G15s and just traded in my i20s and G20s to fund these 25s. The slightly less offset is nice though, as I can get a little hooky with the G5 cuz I've got a slightly quick, OTT move on the downswing. Need more time with them for sure but they do look killer in the bag though..

I just got in from hitting a bunch of clubs. Was really planning on coming home with an order for either i20's or Callaway X hot pros. Cally's were good, i20's were awesome. At least for my good swings. Hit them exactly like my G15's in a much more compact package. However, on bad hits much more punishing. Then I moved on to the G25's. wonderful clubs, but if the shots weren't labeled G15/G25 I wouldn't be able to tell you which shot was from which club. Great clubs but not worth the purchase coming from the 15's.  Looks like I'm set for this year (again). Will try again when the i25's surface.

I hit the G25s today vs the G15s I already have. No real difference and certainly not worth the expense to upgrade in my opinion. The thinner sole and topline is nice but they hit the exact same shot. No difference in feel at all.

So I'm in the market for some new irons. I've hit both the g20 and g25. Other than looks, is there a reason to spend over $100 more on G25 as opposed to G20. My numbers on the launch monitor were very similar.

Ping is in a catch 22... they got perimeter weighting and forgiving designs so well so many years ago, it's really hard to improve on it.  Different sole grinds, different colors and badges, but it's a lot of similar stuff.  That's a big reason why their clubs hold their value so well also.

Can you guys share why you liked or like the G5 so much?  The design looked simple and clean, but didn't they come with those cs lite shafts?  I don't think that was the best shaft they've released.

I have (stock) awt stiff in mine.

I do have to say that the g10 are very similar, with a touch less offset in the shorter irons...
run of the mill driver with stock shaft
a couple of outdated hybrids
shovel-ier shovels
wedges from same shovel company
some putter with a dead insert and
a hideous grip

The G5's were so easy to hit, I put them down convinced that it would be something my grandpa would buy.   I am that dumb.
