FootJoy's attempt to get into the sport shoe and spikeless shoe game has been an epic failure.  They all look like they came from Walmart or Payless.  They need to stick to what they do best: dressier looking shoes.

Contour Casual is the number one selling shoe in that category.  So if money and sales is an epic failure then I'll agree with you.  I'm not a fan of these personally but just because you or I don't care for them doesn't mean they're a failure.  The M:Project will sell well I will guarantee it.

I am not shocked that the Contour Casual is selling well.  I think it is a great looking shoe and I regret trying to save a few bucks and buying a pair of AdiCross shoes on sale.  I just don't understand the Sport Series.  Is there a huge market for them?  They are kind of half casual and half sport and their price point of $145-165 sorta falls in the middle of of the two styles.  Personally, I would rather spend an extra $15 or $25 for a pair of Dry Joys tour or just get a really nice pair of sports shoes for that price.  I've just never seen anyone wearing them besides staff guys like Rory or ZJ.

Very bad looking. I noticed he was wearing something different too. But, I suddenly forgot...what does he normally wear? Does he normally wear FJ?

FJ probably sees a growing side of the market and wants its share.  However it seems that they are alienating their fan base.

From my point of view as long as they are keeping both sides happy then what is the problem?  Just buy your classic FJs if that is what you like to wear.

The M Project looks quite interesting to me.

According to another post on here FJ have lost their top spot in sales to Nike in the US.  Here in Scotland it seems to be three stripes I see the most of

A FJ insider told me the following in response to his shoe choices lately... "Hunter has been testing several different shoes, from ICON to M:Project even Contour Casual and Superlites. We never will tell a player wear this shoe, we present the line to them and they pick what they want.".  I think this a great point and speaks to the depth of FJ's product line whether you like the looks of a shoe or not since it is about performance, whether you like the designs or not.

If a shoe is ugly as hell, it's never even going on my foot, so I'll never know about the performance.

Those are the ones and although they appear comfy they looked better from a distance on TV.
And I think someone did start a new thread about them on Sunday
