first don't flame me nor tell me about how you wouldn't be caught dead in anything but Puma/TM/insert any other $$$$ brand..

As I was wandering walmart, waiting for wifers to get those 'two' things we would die without (tomato and onion if you must know) I strolled around saw a decent looking pair of golf shorts. Closer inspection showed it was Ben Hogan performance and they felt pretty decent. Better yet they were only $16.

If you missed out on the GG/dicks clearance deals, and need some shorts on the cheap.. check em out. They had solids and colors.

They had shirts as well but I didnt really look at them..

I would wear all that,  good deal and a fraction of the price compared to all the Puma and other stuff.

thats my thinking. I have enough Puma/nikes that I can make those snobby comments. But a deal is a deal. I picked up the white plaid ones. Thinking about getting the blue and grey ones as well.

Also saw they had white pants for $20. I had two in my macys cart during that Izod deal but never pulled the trigger

**Edit** hey i just tried on the shorts and their either true to size or a touch small. More snug than my nike 36s

Looks great, honestly I have never thought to look into the clothing section for golf stuff at Walmart. I will be taking a stroll next time I am there, I would be looking for all the stuff online.

Yea!  The Hogan Brand was claimed from Callaway by Perry Ellis.  Finally, there will be a resurrection of the brand.  I saw the clothing in Wallmart and spoke with the folks at PE.  All sorts of new stuff coming soon.  The price is great and I would bet some higher end items will follow. I did like the shorts as well and will probably get some soon.  The shirts showed the logos inside the collar and on some on the sleeve.  Not all styles had the logo on the outside of garment.  The long sleeve and windbreakers looked great.

I noticed that too. Its difficult to fine nice plain shirts w/o a puma, swoosh, or something else plastered on it. Makes it easier to mix and match

I am glad I saw this post, I went to our local Wal Mart and was able to pick up a few pair of shorts and shirts. They appear to be well made and how can you beat a $16 price tag. OP, thanks for posting.

Thanks for the heads up. I just cruised through our local Walmart and they had a ton of this stuff. Three shorts and two pairs of shorts for $83. :)

Stopped in Walmart this morning to take a look-see.

The shorts look and feel nice and well made. Attractive colors and patterns IMO. Going to definitely pick up a few pair.

Shirts were a mixed bag for me. Some felt very thin and flimsy while others felt more sturdy. Can't go wrong with any of the solids and I liked a handful of the stripes and patterns.

Nice find OP...thanks!

Thanks OP.  Going to check out Wally now.  I HATE shelling out $40 for shorts!  Hopefully these are good quality.  A year ago I bought some Champion shorts for $19 at Target thinking they would be decent....they were pretty flimsy and WAY too short.....I felt like Larry Bird.

Wife purchased a pair of shorts for me last night and I must say for Walmart there very good and like others said "who can pass up on a $16 pair of good shorts without company advertisement". Going back tomorrow to see what else is there.
