I live in Virginia and it is a 9 hour ride for me. I can tell you if you have never been to ANGC it is worth it if you live on the MOON! I have played most of the top 100 courses int he USA and been to all of the Majors sans the Open Championship (Hopefully next year) and Augusta is a different animal and IMO the best golf course and vibe in the known world.

I live about a little over 1 1/2 hours away. I'll be there Thursday-Sunday. I'll be driving home after every round.... different people are going with me everyday so it just makes it easier. Otherwise I would stay with my mother-in-law... which lives maybe 20 minutes away. Also wife's aunt lives 2 streets down from main gate if I ever needed to park.

Hows the traffic Jeffreyu?
Also lots of parking once you get there?
If I want to be there for 8:30 when the gates open, should I just take the hour or is there lots of delays on the highway and in town?

I'll second that feeling. The way I explain it to people is... take the feeling you had on Christmas Eve in anticipation of Santa Claus as a youngster and multiply that by 100. When you first get through the gate and get through the trees and see the course open up before you, that's what I imagine Heaven looking like.

You need to play golf at The River Club in North Augusta, you can't miss eating at The Snug Steak and Grille and Augustino's in the Augusta Marriot Riverfront Hotel.
Check them out.

I am sure you are right. I only know that we are flying into Atlanta. Have you played the course? Thoughts?

I was thinking of painting GolfWRX all over my vehicle! (J/K)
Would be nice to have something to stand out a little though.

Lots of parking if you get there early. The way I come into town there are very little delays. I've only had to park in an outside lot once..just a little late getting there..but it was 5 minutes or less walk
