There are at least 4 versions that I have seen.

Retail- 460
v2- 420
one dot- lower launch
two dot- not sure yet

I believe the dots have something to do with the Center of gravity.

Here's my two dot head - what I know so far is that it's 440cc, different COG, at least .5 degrees open and flatter lie angle on "N" setting and so far has been very low launching.  It's the only head that I have gone UP in loft adjustment.  Mine is set at 9.5 and 1 open and launches about the same or a touch lower than the Covert Tour on 8.0 and VR LTD 8.5.

2 Dot on the left, retail on right.  Notice the difference in weight placement and different head shape in terms of CG and bulge/roll on the crown.  Fellow WRX'ers who follow my posts know that I am far from a TM fanboy, but this head is one of the best sounding and feeling heads I have hit.

My comment is......... I don't really care and 99.9% of the golfing population doesn't either.  I like my R1 and everyone I've sold one to seems to be pretty happy with their's.  For the .01% who care, i'm sure all of you need a lower launching, lower spinning, less forgiving head, so cheers to you.

I'd be curious to know the if the R1 Dot that Will had has been USGA tested or approved (not on the list to my knowledge) or if it was just an R&D Prototype.  Crown graphics are different, and I'm fairly certain that you have to resubmit for approval for graphic changes too.  COG changes don't have to be resubmitted though.  I'm sure they are coming out with these heads though, they usually have a couple different versions, maybe the website isn't up to date.  My guess, is that Will's was a VERY early prototype, as they had several different shades of graphics in the early stages I believe.

Just posted this on another thread where Cesar was kind enough to post some pics of his V2 for comparison:

I see some very subtle changes in the 2 dot vs V2. Most noticeable, the 2 dot does not say "FACE ANGLE" near the compass, the face also might be a touch deeper on the 2 dot but hard to tell for certain.

I feel that the 2 dot has to be a proto to the V2.
