I avoid it.  They ain't paying me.  I wear a hat with a team logo I'm a fan of.  Or no hat at all.  Or one that says KPMG when I play on Halloween and go as Phil.

I have many hats. Some are team apparel and some are golf apparel.

No way. Why should I advertise for the OEM if I'm already buying their stuff? When I buy a new car the first thing I do is take off the dealer license plate frame. When shopping for apparel I only buy gear w/ zero or very discreet logos.

When I buy a club new as in my recent driver purchase I usually go to a green grass shop and show them what I can get it for and then negotiate somewhere in between with a free hat, so yes I have a titleist hat I wear right now.  Do the same thing with used clubs at golfsmith since they have so much profit built in.

Yes I do, but I've never paid for one.  I only wear free hats.  I may not be getting paid to wear it, but I make sure I didn't pay to wear it.

Not quite the same thing. I understand taking off the dealer plate frame as i do the same thing but are you also taking off the Manufactors logos (Ford, GM, Toyota, etc...) too?

Yea I will where a Taylormade or titleist hat. Just repping what I thinks cool. Just showing loyalty to the brand just like loyalty to a team. I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Wow I never thought people did not wear golf hats... I wear my Titliest or Scratch hat but I like the way they look.

Yeah I wear a few golf company hats. If it keeps the sun out of my eyes (afterall that is its purpose) and is comfortable then I will wear it. I don't go out of my way to buy a particular brand or go out of my way to buy one that is plain.

I wear SeeMore hats. (The Putter Company)  I also have a ton of Ping Hats.  I'm on my 5th set of Ping irons in the last 22 years.  I once wore a hat with NO LOGO and everyone made fun of it!!!!!!!!

The only OEM hat I wear is usually Titleist. Mainly because I get annoyed paying $25 for a hat that is outdated in one years time when the ball/club logo on the hat becomes obsolete. At least with Titleist "FJ" and "PROV1" is a mainstay.

I don't understand your dislike for a golf companies clothing line. If you don't like the style that's one thing, but saying you won't wear it because you aren't getting paid is another. If you're going to be so close minded about apparel, I would expect that you wouldn't play their equipment, or at least blackout their logos.

I have titleist, taylormade, Adams hats, I only have taylormade clubs and a titleist putter/prov1's and I wear all of them, I even wear the Adams hat when I have zero clubs from them. I bought it because I liked the way it fit/looked, is it really THAT big of a deal to wear OEM hats?

I have a bunch of TM and Titleist hats, mainly because I like their style offerings. I don't have a strong feeling against advertising for companies when I'm not being paid by them.

Last time I checked there are logos on shoes, jeans,shirts, cars,bags,etc...and I am not paid by any of them.
I always wear a hat. I usually worry about it being a somewhat matching color for my shirt. I have several colors of golf company hats, I also have several local team baseball hats and a local college.
I sincerely doubt that anyone will be trying out a product because I am sporting the logo. I actually may be doing more harm than good for the company...

I don't always wear a hat, but when I do...

it's either a CA (Computer Associates) visor that a friend gave me or it's a Rulegolf cap that I bought.
Oh, and I've started wearing a straw hat last summer. Like that one a lot... doesn't have a logo on it.

Nike non-form fit hats are comfy.  I found some (meshy style) with the Buick Open logo on them at a local shop for $5.  They are nice.  Also, the Nike VR Mesh back hats fit well.  Anything worn more than 4-5 rounds shows lots of sweat.

Not much anymore.  When I was in the business, I was a Bridgestone staffer.  I wore their hat all the time.  I still where one every now and then.

Mainly I wear a logo hat from the club I belong to.  I also wear UGA hats in the fall and baseball hats in the spring.  I have 3 different Braves hats and a hat from one of their minor league teams.

I'm not really against a company hat, I just don't buy them.  If I was given one, I'd probably wear it.

I just wear hats that I like.  Mostly, I wear golf hats.  I have a few Titleist hats, but, I dont wear them as often anymore.  Currently I have 3 Travis Mathew hats that I wear.  I actually wear them off the golf course a lot too.  I dont wear them because they say Travis Mathew or have a TM logo on them.. I wear them because they are cool hats.  They are more style hats than golf hats and off the course they are more unique looking.

I usually didn't wear hats but then I saw two titleist flat bill hats for $8 each I figured why not. My only other hat is a New Era Cincinnati Reds hat but that just seems out of place on a golf course. Also a note for all the flat bill haters out there---you can bend the bill.

I wear hats that have the best fit and keep me cool, so functionality is the reason.  Right now that hat is the Oakley Silicon Bark New Era.

I do, but only if I find the hats on a pretty good clearance (like $10 or less). I will never pay over $25 for any hat, period.
