Hopefully no WRXers have bid on this item nor any of her other items, as the Graphite Designs TourAD shafts are fake (confirmed by Bill McPherson at Graphite Designs) and the Iomics are also fakes (got that confirmed by Iomic USA).  I've reported all of the listings with fake items in them but eBay continues to let them run.  Hopefully no one from here has bid on this shaft that's about to end, but she has a lot of fake items up and knows it, as I asked her if she knew they were fakes and got no response, just edited the listing to say it's a 45" shaft and she doesn't know why.  She knows exactly why, because it's fake.  Lots of tell tale signs on the Graphite Designs shafts.  The Iomics she has are in colors they do not, and never have offered as per correspondence with Iomic.  Here's the Tour AD BB she has listed currently:

http://www.ebay.com/...=item3cce75782b

I've reported that item and others and eBay has done nothing.

What makes you say it's fake?

I don't see any holographs on the silver part of the shaft, there should be holographs all over it, like this one: http://www.ebay.com/...=item5d39da8599

I may also be the way the photo was taken, but the "silver" is the wrong color also.

Stay awwwwwayyyy from this girl/ seller ..............This is an amazing thread as i just had a guy looking for an ad bb and he said he saw some on ebay and I said whatever you do do not buy from storagewarsgirl as she is selling fakes....it is so easy to tell, and I was speaking with triple grind sole and saw he was looking at this clicked on it and said to my self no way!  My buddy called her out on it and her response was she would check with her supplier! Her shafts, where it says graphite design are crooked not aligned proper in the spacing where the writing goes and runs crooked down into the graphics! Some look real but I would never buy a Graphite design shaft from her and my buddy reported her to ebay as we know after looking at them they are fakes!Stay AWWWWAYYY from this seller!

What makes you say it's fake?

As has been stated, the graphics are crooked in the Graphite Designs portion, the spacing from the weight to flex is incorrect, flex indication is wrong font, a ring is missing, the length is wrong, etc.  Lots of things.

I saw her R1 tip today while looking at some R1's in comparison to others selling on there, always weeding  out the to good to be true people and the Power sellers that have connections I have met and they have real accounts and just are about pure volume for 20 bucks vs making 399 a driver and profits in the 125 dollar range or so! From what I understand as I know a guy out west who does business on ebay and has for 15 years, I am not going to mention his name but will edit the post with his name if he has no problem when I speak to him tomorrow!  I know him to an extent and do not want to throw his name around on a forum as I feel that is rude unless it is to help others not buy fakes, this guy is legit but he, from what I understand gets to write off on taxes the final value fees through sales on ebay when doing taxes, plus he is an authorized dealer for a good bit of companies and has his own physical golf store you can go into! Her R1 tip looked real and like i said it could be 50/50 with the products but I am not trusting it!

You know ebay has ruined it for a lot of people trying to do good sales for a nice price from fakes and has changed a lot in the past decade! I do my homework when buying off ebay and I always contact the person and ask to get their credentials to confirm if they claim they are this or that and always read the neutral and negative feedback I can see for the past year! I know a few places on the bay that actually buy bankrupt golf stores or property in general and get the contents in the business or home and sell the equipment dirt cheap as they got everything in the property for dirt cheap and have had a fake pop up hear and there they knew nothing about because it was a used traded in product that the previous shop owner may not have even known was a fake, they did not know golf stuff that well, but gave full refunds even for the return shipping and destroyed the product, not put it for sale again like her and another guy in a thread about this type of thing!

There are people 50-75 percent of the time that are unaware they are even in possession of a fake until someone with experience and knowledge spots it, not always a on purpose deal, but this gal and some others are the ones doing this non stop making a business of it and by golly if they do not know they are fakes by now after my buddy and others have contacted her and the other guy mentioned in a thread similar to this then something is wrong but a good bit like the R1 sleeve mentioned looks legit as can be!

Could you provide some tips on spotting fake RIPs? What are some of the inconsistencies on the counterfeits?

the reason I said that is because I know for a fact that the one they sold was fake because it was at the 45" inches and I know where this loser is getting their fake shafts.

I think a good start to spotting fake RIPs are seeing if they have the texture of an authentic one. The letters are "bumpy"

That's what I was thinking but it's hard to tell the texture from pictures. How long are most stock, uncut shafts, 46"?

Uncut RIP's and generally 99% of driver shafts are 46".

The RIP's are hard to tell. Even a bad photo or a good photo wont really help. Unless it's in your hands you really can't tell.

I thought the same thing as the items look the same but there is no little circle showing a name change ebay puts up for the first 30 days, but I think the same thing still.

I can imagine that there will be quite some guys put these fake shafts into some old but not too old club head, then sell a good price. Let's keep an eye on that.

Looking at the listing, there does not seem to be a claim that the shaft is a Graphite Design.  They say the brand is Tour AD.  Another case of too good to be true, and I wonder if there was some shill bidding in play.
