Hi.  I recently acquired a set of 1969-70 Wilson Dynapower Bullet Back irons with aluminum shafts.  I was thinking of giving the paint fill a refreshing and was wondering what the best match for the Wilson red was?  I was going to visit the local Hobby Lobby and pick up a Testor's bottle if I can find a decent match.  I don't think it is just red.  It looks like a darker red than that.

Also does anyone know where the aluminum shafts, R flex, reside on the flex scale?  Are they somewhere between an S-300 and R-200 Dynamic Gold?

Thanks.

If you want a darker red you could always add a little black to whatever red you choose. As for shaft flex I would guess that is about where they would flex out around. They didn't really have shaft flexes back then so all shafts were in the stiff region of the flex scale.

Sure we did. Regular, stiff, X... It's just that they had to be delivered via pony express... :-)

Thanks for the suggestion on the color and the information on shaft flex!
