Trying to decide which is best for my upcoming Razr Fit Xtreme 4 wood.

Wanting a shaft that lets me get the ball up, has superb carry, but is still dead-on. I love what I've read about both, but can't decide.

Maybe somebody on here can give me some guidance?

Thanks!

They are both really good.  The Matrix will feel stiffer, launch and spin lower, and weigh a little more than the Trinity.  If your main concern is getting the ball up, I would say the Trinity would suit better.

I tried the trinity and I am normally a high launch and high spin guy. The trinity x gave me some pretty good numbers. Spin rate was around 2300.  The launch was low amd I didn't mind the feel of the shaft. I didn't hit 7M3 shaft but i think from  all accounts it is a bit stouter. The 7M3 has a shorter tip length 90mm vs 76mm.  I am going to try a 7M3 shaft when I get the chance to.

If you are wanting to get the ball up go for the trinity.

What if you don't have a problem getting the ball in the air, but you don't go at the ball overly aggressively?  I have a smooth tempo with a smoother transitionthat doesn't put a lot of load on the shaft.  Would the Trinity be a better option?  I have a SS in the 104-108 neighborhood and I'm 6'3" and 200lbs.  I normally hit a driver about 270 total, maybe 285 or 290 if I step on it.

Of course I'm asking this a little late.  I just order the RFX 9.5* this morning with the Trinity Stiff.

I think you will be fine with the Trinity. If anything you may be able to handle the x flex and it would give you more confidence when you want to step on one.

I ordered th 9.5 trinity stiff...what a mistake...it was a total  noodle...with NO backbone...sent it back for a refund
So I went to golfsmith launch monitor
What worked out best was the Cally 10.5 with matrix stiff...I was completely bombing it 295y at 106mph,  ball speed 151mph. It felt like 260cpm high bend point...of a stiff +
This set up was  hot!, I was surprised the stiff matrix could hold my agressive swing, and felt this head was giving me a solid extra 10yards
The Cally felt like 45.5 D6...but I cant be sure...make sure you get some weights and remove the 10gm for a 4,6 or 8  and get the swingweight down to approx D3...and it will swing easier
Since then I bought the R1 and feel the Cally head was 'WAY' hotter, I even put the Matrix white tie stiff in the R1...its a bit softer than the black tie ;(
I am now considering the Cally again with 10.5 Black tie (high loft...low launch shaft for control)...I think this is a better set up than a 9.5 white tie stiff  spraying
Also the dispersion on the launch monitor was crazy tight...I swaer that was a push and it was right center fairway
The hosel has less adjustment than my R1 (which looks like a Christmas tree!)
Go with the Callaway...the R1 is a dead muted mullet!
