Another thought for a clean look with some forgiveness is to buy the 2 iron from the Nike VR Pro Combo set. Pocket Cavity design with a hot face, 18 degrees, and forged so you could bend it a little stronger if you wanted. Relatively traditional looking coming from your MP33 1 iron.

I found an Adams Pro Black Hybrid head at 14 degrees that I'll be building soon for this purpose. Hopefully a low screamer!

503H but stay away from the graphite shaft.  I have two  22 and 19 with s300 shafts , money on tight par fours and off the deck on par 5's very accurate.

I think a Rocketbladez 3 iron delofted 3 degrees would go as far as a 4 wood I would assume

I just want to say thanks to the community here! most times I post something like this I just get a******* giving snooty remarks and one sided arguments. But you all have given me a lot of good options to check out. Before I make any choices I will be going to a demo day in orlando on the 16th and trying out every venders low irons! hahahha

I have never tried anything like this but how about a 15* Adams super hybrid with a steel shaft? That would be straight and long I would think

Good luck in your quest. I really wish I hadn't read this thread. I now want a Yonex, Titleist, Callaway, and Fourteen. Just to name a few.

Nothing wrong with my old ping eye 2 becu one iron @ 16*. Really thought, with today's low spin balls this is for the tee or if you want to hit a really low ball off the tight grass. It won't go super high unless you're JD.

Ok guys, I went to a demo day and got to jump on the tracman with a few different clubs, The best performing iron was the nike VR_S forged. It had the best flight and the most forgiveness.  In a close second was the TM Rocket blade tour iron.  I have to say I am thinking about doing the whole set in the rocket blades including having my 3 iron bent to a 17* loft.  I hit a few of the clevelands and a few of the calaways but I have to say I was very very impressed with the vr_s.  just wanted to let yall know what I found out and decided on.

I got a MP H4 as a 4 iron replacement this year.....EASY to hit

Depending on how my Hybrid treats me this year, i may get one of these in a 2 iron.

It sounds like you're looking for an old Cobra baffler multimetal hybrid.  They set up like an iron.  I think Cobra made them in an 18*.  Could be exactly what you're looking for and they're pretty cheap.  I have some but not the 18*.

Rocketbladez Tour 3 is my new driving iron. Highly recommend trying it out. I had the lie angle adjusted from 60.5 to 59.5 to match the MP59 3 iron, but this club goes 15 yards further with 19 degree loft instead of mizuno's 21 degree. Tried to have it de-lofted to 18 degrees, but the shop could bend it without the shock treatment and I didn't want to risk it. Surprised the lie angle was easier to bend.

I tried the new Callaway driving iron and wasnt a fan of the 11* bounce. How easy is the H4 to hit? What shafts are people playing in driving irons? not a lot of demo options out there.

The H4 is awesome. I have the 2 iron and as far as two irons go it is a very forgiving club. I haven't had a chance to the X utility so I cannot compare it to that. I put an NV105 in mine and i'm loving it.

Given the history of it's designer, I'll bet it's pretty forgiving, and they offer it in 17* as a standard option. Shoot, now I want one too!

Just got done comparing the x utility with pxi 6.0 versus the H4 KBS TOUR S.... It wasn't even close... IMO the H4 is better in regards to feel, workability and distance.  It could have been the shaft but I'm not even looking anymore.  H4 already ordered and thinking ordingin the 2 iron to replace my old trusty hybrid.

exact same for me.  I'm left handed so not a lot of options.   this is basically a 2 iron.  18 degrees.

I play a Callaway Fusion Wide sole 2 iron - and this is really long and accurate.
It is really easy to hit due to the wide sole and big head.
I hit it about 240 meters / 265 yards.

Has anyone else tried this ?
