I think an annual thread would work better than the current Colorado WRX thread, which spans more than 6 years.

Post anything related to golf, Colorado, and 2013 in this thread.

I was supposed to play Blackstone with my neighbor on 1/13, but it never got warm enough. Went to Family Sports range instead. There were actually a few people out on the course.

I liked waking up to 5" of snow yesterday and also getting an e-mail from Fossil Trace saying the course would open that day.

I'm changing jobs and taking a whole day (Tuesady, 2/26) off in-between. Problem is that I have take an online exam for my MBA class. If I finish by noon, I figured I'd head out to a golf course for a quick 18.

Latest email from Colorado Avid Golfer shows a deal for Green Valley Ranch. 10 rounds including cart for $449 with no restrictions.

she hates all of us with more snow coming.  the snow has finally melted off of my course and not 5-7 more this weekend.  i'm thinking it's going to be April before I get out again.

Well, my in-laws arrive on Tuesday, and they want to go skiing. No issues with that over Easter weekend. So at least I got that going for me...

If the weather forecast holds up, I'll finally be able to try out my new clubs on Thursday at the Family Sports range.

Ping S56 irons
Ping i20 hybrid
Callway Razr X Tour hybrid
Ping Tour S wedges 52/56/60 (those are currently being sent on a truck to Ping with my i10 set to get rebent to purple dots)

Once I get a new putter, I'll have a whole new bag of clubs for this season.

My old set will be retired and live an unassuming life stored in a garage in Sweden for 50 weeks a year.

Hopefully April will be nicer. You can go skiing at A-Basin in the morning, then squeeze in 18 in the afternoon. Best of both worlds!

I was looking at "upgrading" my irons this season.  What made you go with the S56's?  I'm seriously looking at the Mizuno MP-64s.  Everytime I go into the PGA SS I just drool all over them....

I have the 64s and there's no way I'd go with Ping over Mizuno...just my opinion though...

I've been playing Pings for 20 years now. Can't imagine playing anything else, really. If my Ping Eye2's hadn't gotten stolen out of my garage in 2008, I'd still probably be playing them now.

Spill it, everyone. How was opening weekend?

Skiing was fantastic yesterday and today. Plus, zero traffic driving down at 5pm. Tempted to go to the range right now, but I'll wait for another day. Anyone know if Family Sports opened the grass range yet?

My GF got me us a night stay at the Broadmoor on April 21st, which is a Sunday. the package came with a round of golf for 2 on my choice of course. I'm gonna play the East course with my buddy Dave, who is a pro at Pradera. I'm pretty excited for that. Otherwise I just play the courses in and around Ft. Collins/Loveland/Windsor.

If you can get the winter walking rate at The Links at Highlands Ranch for $24, I highly recommend it. Definitely lets you work on your iron play.

Sure hope they keep Common Ground in US AM shape from last year. What a great season out there can't wait for the stupid snow to leave town.
