i have judged them and apparently so has the american public and they were just a fade. the percentage of folks walking around the gym in those as decreased exponentially in the past couple of years. so apparently for all the "believers" they didnt quite work out as planned. oh and dorks who walk around the gym in under armor are well, just that. they probably scream and grunt on every exercise and make sure everyone in the gym knows they are "throwing some serious pies" around the gym. same dudes that slam weights and need 4 shots of jac3d/1mr/no explode to wake up in the morning.
If you're referring to my comment about under Armour, I was talking about wearing it under my hockey equipment but you can assume whatever you'd like.

Wait so guys who wear under armour, even loose fit, grunt and scream when they workout??? Now compression gear as their outer layer, ok yeah I've got you, but loose fit UA gear?  That and Nike dri-fit loose gear are easily the most comfortable workout gear...

i own/work out in technical loose layers.  my under armor comment was for the guys strutting around in skin tight under armor as their "outerlayer".

I run in traditional running shoes but I still wear my Vibrams when I lift or plan to spend a day walking (tomorrow at the Tampa Bay Championship, for instance). So no, my pair isn't dead. OP is just another lemming who thinks something is automatically a piece of crap because people have stopped buying it. Would he say the same thing about Mizuno MP-32s, the TM R510TP, etc.? Other brands are improving what Vibram pioneered just like golf club manufacturers improve upon a classic model, it's as simple as that. As a result you see less Vibrams and more minimalist-inspired footwear from more popular companies like New Balance, Adidas, etc.

cool story bro. next time do yourself a favor and actually read the op before you waste your time posting. have fun walking around in your shoes tomorrow and convincing yourself that the health benefit you are receiving from your shoes is outweighs the dork factor.

To each his own, I guess.

If someone put a pair of those on my feet after I died, it'd be a desecration of my corpse, imo.

Anyway, angry responses in a topic like this?

I think it's a fun thread...  "...my wife wanted some, and a little piece inside me died..."  lmao

You seem mad bro. Some people value their health and fitness over looking cool according to your personal standards. I don't consider sharing my opinion and story a waste of my time, and I will have fun seeing the pro's regardless of your judgment of my footwear.

It's funny how angry people get about these, like someone kicked their dog.  Thanks for the laughs.

Well it's important to me and I feel good about wearing them. I feel like it's good for the OP to know there are other passionate opinions on the topic that, while not agreeing with his/her own, actually make sense.

proprioception

NB Minimus w Vibram soles.......great workout shoes.  5 fingers were hard to get on w my messed up toes........yes they are the right size.  I wore them for 2 years.  Perhaps the public didn't get anything out of the shoes because they only wore them an hour or 2 a week.

Way too expensive for what they are or what is there... :D The salesman said that he'd run a 6.2 K in his, and was impressed.  From what I've gathered, there are (5) different styles to fit the various sports / uses?

I have a few questions about these shoes.
I hear that people like to wear them when they do a lot of walking, and then other people say how they're designed for barefoot running.  Barefoot running is dependent on a totally different stride than walking, is the shoe good for both?
Also, my second toe is significantly longer than my big toe, and it causes me problems with all the shoes I currently wear: my second toe is always banging into the front of my shoe, and it bruises, and my toenail doesn't grow properly anymore.  Would I have to wear a five finger toe where four of my toes simply don't fill out the shoe, and leave the ends floppy - would this not affect the way the shoe is supposed to work?
