Great win by Phil. I kept thinking Sneds was going to catch him, per his history.

Great playing by Scott Piercy this weekend, 125 saturday and sunday is usually enough to walk away with a win.

No one could touch Phil this week though, great playing by him.

I was close on my pre tourney call I thought we might get to -30 this year, 3 straight days of rain leading up to the tournament followed by sunshine and mid 60's to low 70's temps Thurs through Sun conditions were ripe for super low scoring

Phil played great this week, hope it continues at Pebble. Sneds is having a great start to his year finishing 2nd 2 weeks in a row.

Sneds tried to take it to him, got within 3. The drive into the cactus on 15 sealed his fate. Great round by Piercy, not within reach of Phil but he certainly increased his paycheck a bunch.

Regarding someone's comment about not liking all the low scores, they all play the same course and par is just a number, not all courses can be set up like the Open.

Phil plays like a dog at Torrey (a course he knows well) and then goes lights out in Scottsdale (also a course he knows well). He mentioned his new driver and his work with Butch and the Stocktons during interviews. A good decisive win, but it was a damn good thing he shot that 60 on Thurs, otherwise it would have been a lot tighter.

One thing I realized watching this weekend... while there are a ton of excellent players, there are still currently only 3 real STARS in golf.  When Tiger, Phil, and Rory are playing well it takes the entire tournament to a new level from a fan perspective.  They just have "it", and "it" goes beyond simple talent.  Fun to watch when a superstar is playing at the top of his game.

As for Snedeker, he clearly doesn't have the charisma of a guy like Phil, but he is certainly setting himself up for a monster 2013.  Heard him intereviewed before the first tournament in Hawaii this year, and you could just hear the confidence he has in his game.  Could potentially be a #1 player in the world in much the same way Luke Donald was - has the ability to play solid and be in the hunt every single week.

I think Sneds is already a "star". Tour Championship and Fedex Cup last year and a really solid start to this year. He has plenty of "charisma". He's going to be be a major factor in years to come. He has "it".
