Does anybody plan on going to this at their local Golf Galaxy?  It seems like they have some pretty good giveaways.  I've never been to a midnight product launch and myslef and a couple guys from work are going.  Should I expect it ti be real crowded for Thursday night?

No, not going. 30 miles away and working the next morning. No, I have not been to a midnight launch. Yes, I had been to launch events. Some had door prizes, OEM reps etc... Others had nothing but a sign and a 50% trade in boost.

Last week's Callaway launch had nothing. You couldn't tell it from any other Sat.

It's this Thursday night from 11:59pm to 2am. The flyer I got from GG shows three giveaway and all are instore drawings: 1)Taylormade bag w/ new R1 driver, wood, hybrid, and rocketbladez iron set, choice of driver/wood/hybrid, and Lethal Golf Balls for 1 year (12 dozens).  There is also the hit their driver farther than your driver and get a Lethal ball for every yard longer (up to 12 balls max).  These seem like nice prizes for a midnight launch.

i may go, i went to the RBZ one last year and won the golf balls + more balls for hitting the fairway 8 yards farter than mine. we'll see about it though.

I hate to burst everyone's bubbles, but no, it's not each store that will be giving the prizes away. The flyer is indeed a little misleading. There will be names drawn from each store after close for the prizes. Those names are sent to corporate and the winners are determined there. so ~80 stores. 3 names(1 for each prize) per store, grouped by what prize they were drawn for at the store and the winner comes from those names.

I won the balls last year as well. I wasn't there for the drawing so when I first started listening to the voicemail I thought I had won the driver! Then the manager hooked me up with extra balls from the 3 wood challenge so I walked out with 2 dozen balls. I'll be in the area tomorrow after a hockey game again like last year again so I'll be attending. Here's hoping I can win something again!

Not to worry, if you miss the event I'm pretty sure they will still have TM products for you in the morning when the stores reopen.  I guess I wouldn't get too worked up about it.  Honestly I think they midnight launches are kind of fun, but what do I know?

saw the email and deleted it. wouldnt go anyway. cool idea to a bunch of twilight kids or star wars geeks but no way am i going to a golf store at midnight.

I went to the RBZ one last year, had a blast. It was a lot of fun, and I got free stuff, plus gift cards.

the new TM equipment has been available for us canadians since last friday. good to know we got the release before you americans for once.

Get tuned for the R1 and get one Lethal ball per yard gained.  Anyone else see a problem with their model?

I am going to go, and hit my gamer 200yds.  Then smoke the R1 on their jacked up simulator, it should register 310 - 340yds, per usual.  Do you think they will give me 110 golfballs?

Last year it was a dozen maximum.

Supposedly they are having a launch weekend that starts tonight at 11:59 PM-2AM.  It also lasts through the weekend.

They are having R1 fittings, extra trade in value if you buy a new TM stick, ball giveaways, etc.  I might ride by the Winston Salem store but wondered if anyone else was thinking of going tonight?  It feels like a Black Friday midnight sale to me or something...

I am going even though its going to be 8 degrees at midnight here.  My store is also giving $50 gift cards to show up.  Might as well go.
