So I first came across these guys on ebay but Ive had trouble getting in touch with them.  Their work looks top notch and Ive been looking at getting some miura heads done.  Have any of you guys used them?  I tried messaging on ebay and giving them a call to discuss some options but no luck so far.  Im sure they're probably busy.  They seem to be the best priced and quickest turn around.  Just looking to see what everyone thinks.

Are they the best to use or do you reccomend anyone else?

Never had anything done with him but I've seen quite a bit and it always looks very nice and well done.  I've heard some complaints about lack of communication and can be slow at times.  Never heard of anyone complain about the work done though

Yea the work looks awesome and they have perfect ebay feedback.  Its just kinda frustrating because Id like to discuss some things before sending in the clubs to get work done.

I had 3 wedges done by them. The work is top notch. I can't say for sure- but I think they're a very small operation, so they don't have a customer service center or anything like that. The communication was not non-existent, but it's not like he's got his smart phone on him and answer messages right away all the time.  But the wedges that I got back were extraordinary. If you remember seeing the X-proto and 712 MB sets that were both black ox'd (I think it was back in October, maybe)- those sets were quite possibly the most amazing looking irons one will ever see.

btw- the return shipping is free, which is a nice bonus. I didn't want to forget that.

So I guess the takeaway is- if you have a straightforward job for them to do and have some time for them to get it done and back out, you will get amazing work.

FWIW, Whenever I see scrappy wedges or irons for cheap here or at the used bin at the big box stores, I immediately think of the potential/possibility that they could have with a trip to Michigan to get refinished.  And in 2 of those occasions, I actually pulled the trigger and haven't been disappointed.

You can always do it yourself its hot that hard and you'll save money. Find a chrome shop in your area and get the chrome removed and then find a place that does black oxide. I only payed 95 total to refinish my j33b's plus 10 dollars in dremel sanding attachments

What is the finish on the recent Adams CB/MB irons? That's not black oxide, right? The finish still wears off but it seems more durable that black oxide. Is it black nickel? And the V4's, is that black PVD?

And what is the bronze finish on those MB's from last year? I recently saw a set of those in person and they look beautiful! Any other companies offering that type of finish on their irons? Is it called "oil can?" Looks cool on putters but man does it look fresh on irons!

He is a member here, xtraspin I believe. I have never had a more beautiful set of irons than the MP 33's he did for me. Worth every penny I paid and more.

More good reviews about these guys!  I dont doubt the work.  Im just waiting on some sort of contact.

I did message him on here.  Called.  Emailed.  Messaged through ebay.

Also, I picked up a not so great shape Miura satin wedge that I will be sending to Eric @ ChopShopGolf for refinishing.. and I will post before and after photo's of that..

I had a set of 690.MB's done there, we actually did a trade for the work.  I included the irons, and an additional set of shafts.

The Black Oxide was beautiful, and the reshafting and finishing of the shafts was beautiful.

Also have a set of Rac MB's done there, just as beautiful.

Very small operation, I put trust in the work and only asked for an ETA, which he provided same day.

Super happy with the work.

Very nice!  Maybe I'll have to send in my scratch wedges as well!

I got a feeling these miura cb201 irons will look super sick in black oxide with some red paint fill

So should I just package the heads up and write down what I want done?  Will they call me for billing info?

Kellen.. sorry for the delay, I missed seeing your post.. what I did was used one of his BIN listings on eBay ... after I sent payment a few days later you get an email telling you where to send the clubs and asking that you include your name address, email, etc.. for the return shipment. I had asked Eric (from ChopShop..) what the two tone looking finish is for this one that he sent me a photo of before, and he said it's called "2 tone; satin black oxide with a matte scoring area"
