Just tried this, used solvent and tool to save old grips cause couldn't get to come off with just air....
But new grips went on slick as sh#t, I bought pure pros mid....I understand they design their for applying with air but I put a couple of old grips back on and off with air, no problems....
Worked so well a buddy just dropped his off 4 me 2 do....winter sucks so I may call few more buddies to see if they want new grips to scratch the golf itch....
This method is much cleaner than solvent and tape, I already had compressor so cheaper to....

If you're going to recycle old grips, I find it better to add a layer of tape. It comes out a bit thicker that most golfers cannot feel, but I think the solvent or just the exercise of pulling the grips on and off and on again makes the grips very slightly larger so it's a bit safer to add a layer.

Thanks many I thought same thing and added tape just 2 b safe....also the grips I took off to reuse were only about 20 rounds old....not sure if will try to safe any "old" grs this way, easier to just cut off,....
Thanks though
