I was at DSG this afternoon looking for discounted golf apparel and ran across the new Maxfli U6.  Now there's a 6 layer ball?

Did a quick search here and nothing came up.  Anybody have any info on this ball?

I am trying to find them here but no luck yet.  There is no info to be found on them yet the maxfli.com webpage just has a splash screen counting down until Next week.

I haven't seen these yet, but I actually think it's really interesting that a big box store now has two brands of balls starting to make some buzz with ZERO ad support, product launches, etc. I'm glad Dick's is finally utilizing all these brands they have purchased instead of stamping old names on crap products.

No matter what the Pro V line always makes it back in the bag with the best results.

my uncle's friend's brother-in-law heard that the third layer (from outside) would make the ball roll towards the hole on putts, patent pending.

Some weirdness of a count down on the Maxfli website.  Pretty sure it's the U6 you guys are talking about.  If it does what they claim it can, how long before the USGA rolls back the balls to the feathery?

Just wait until the [Taylormade Deca TP AtomicBallz]. 1 ball has the same amount of layers as slices in a large pizza!!!
Twice the layers of the Penta therefore it is twice as good with double the amount of capabilities. And screw the RBZ... ABZ are much much more powerful and devastating. Once unleashed on the first tee, your opponents will be lucky to survive the shockwave after you absolutely demolish a drive down the middle. Critics are saying... Actually THERE ARE NO CRITICS. There is nothing this ball doesn't do!!! It will even pump your gas.

Back to reality: If this really is a 6 piece ball, I wonder what they will cost? $10 per layer?
S9-1 Pro D 9.5 (Tour Prototype 80X Pink)                 Titleist 909 F3 15 (Diamana BB 83x)                 3-PW Miura TB (Nippon NS Pro SPB X flex)                 54* Ping Tour S rustique (KBS Tour)                 60* Vokey SM4 M grind (KBS C taper)                 PING Redwood black satin D66

That too. You watch. We will all have to drop thousands again on new equipment within 5 years, again.

Now we're getting carried away. 6 layers in a golf ball, really. Pretty soon they will have to make the holes bigger so the ball can go in. Crazy man. just crazy.

If its better than the U4x, it will be in my bag soon.  The U4x was the best new ball on the market last year imo.  And yes, it was better thant he prov1 imo.

My money is on TM to top them with a 7 layer ball. This is starting to remind me of the arms race in shaving a few years back.

I have not yet played a round but have been hitting wedge shots and I must say this ball is better than I expected it is firm but not extreme clicky firm like I found with the u4.  It checks up very nicely i feel more than the new ProV1.  I am going to play in next week or so after I get the new Srixons next week and will play them side by side and see how it goes.

I LOVE the u4x's, they are very durable and straight-with just enough spin on the greens.  I was playing Callaway hex chromes and I actually hit straighter and have better spin with the u4x's....the Hex's do outgain the u4x's by maybe 5 yards though.
