Ryan Winther, 2012 World Long Drive Champion, sets Guinness Record for Ball Speed
at the Golf Pride Booth on the Range at 2013 PGA Merchandise Show Demo Days at 217 MPH

http://golfweek.com/...13/jan/24/1395/

Earlier in the year Ryan had Trackman readings at TPI (Titliest Performance Institute) of 226.7 MPH
and paperwork is currently being processed on that for the official guinness World Record. At demo days
a representative from Guinness was onsite, so it was official on the spot.

Ryan also set a Guinness Record in 2012 for "Carry Distance on a Golf Course Under 1000 meters in
Elevation" at a whopping 430 yards carry! Filmed by Comcast Sportsnet:

Yes they do ... I will put my full rep on that statement. Vinny is a GREAT guy to deal with !!! ... Lance is a good egg too ;). Distance wise - The KRANKS just MOVE IT !!!!!!!!

I will never forget - regarding Winther - Pavlet called me from the finals a few years back when Winther first started showing up ... and said in so many words - cuz I always ask him whos hot ... Pav says "ROBO - This guy Winther is here ... and ummmm ... If he catches it ... It's game over - He KILLS IT !!!!!!!!"  .... I bet you can search Winther & me as author and it will pop up - cuz I posted it right after he said it ...

Heard that straight from his mouth

I'll be shocked if Ryan's lower back and right hip joint survive ... He REALLY hangs back ... Poor joints

Gonna be fun to wtach KRANK & Cally go at this year .... Cuz I gotta tell ya Vinny ... They got a good'r this year.

KRANK gets ATTA BOY from me ... I still own a couple of them ... Good people !!!

That is crazy long

I watched a guy at the show in the Krank booth hitting balls and he was ho-humming 140 swing speed and 350-360 carry.  Not sure who it was and I did not note ball speed

I'm sure the balls will sue for inhumane treatment.

That guy has some serious power!

But watching him and other long drive guys hitting balls, I really have to give kudos to Jamie Sadlowski. He´s not the tallest or strongest, but has a good looking swing to put the ball out there!

Thanks ROBO....its gonna be good to see the new ELEMENT go against what Cally has to offer...dont it will be tough though, :D

Winther can flat out swing it....his longest ball will always your worst nightmare on the grid lol

JanKo - though he may not be the tallest or biggest, hes still stronger and more powerful than any PGA Tour pro his size. Havent you ever heard the saying, Its not the size but how you use it. I think its time the public starts to see the past three world champs and guys who win Tour events they had the past three years rather than one guy. Its sad to say this, but he is not the Long Drive World....the rest of the guys who compete are. Again JS is a GREAT GUY.....GREAT SWING....HES AMAZING....JZ is is BEST EVER though..and right now...WINTHER IS THE BEST IN WORLD...FASTEST SWING AND BALL SPEED.....

I am hapy the Golf Channel will pick up our Championships this year, cause it will show the Long Drive hitters and not just one guy. When the Morning Drive talked to Winther at the PGA show, they told him he wil be on there and the monitor as well to hit on . They were then informed that he holds the current World Record Ball Speed and fastest swing speed, they told him nevermind. They told us they thought JS was the fastest out thre and the top guy, once they heard about Winthers speeds and records and yardages, they were amazed and have a whole new insight on the LD world....its not just one guy.....Rant done..lol

Do they ever hold these record tries on flat ground, with little to no wind?  Any complete stat lines for the LD guys off Trackman on flat ground, no wind?

The Remax World Championship is held on about as pure "flat" a grid as possible, the wind however is always a factor their both helping and hurting. Stats on distance can be found fairly easily online but as far as the ball speed record that was verified by Trackman. I know that much of the information on Trackman stats can also be found from the World Championships as Trackman is used in the telecast etc.

Imagine how fast he could swing if he used a hammer x?
