I don't get his shaft selections - Bassara in driver which is the highest launching shaft in the world and Speeder TS and Proforce V2 low launchers in his fairways and hybrids?

Actually, makes a great deal of sense when considering the fact that he is a relatively high spin player in woods- go with a lower loft driver to get spin rate down and use a higher launch shaft to get launch angle up a bit.

This makes a lot of sense.  Clubhead controls spin much more than shaft in my opinion.

Still a shock to see a 50 gram shaft in his driver

Loft and head are the biggest factors to control spin rate and launch angle.  Still a relatively short hitter who probably prefers a softer feeling shaft in the driver.  There are tons of ways to get it done... but hes almost always used a lightweight in the driver going back several years.  I'm finding with better players they're using shaft to control feel.

He should get rid of the Odyssey junk and put a SC in the bag. He would win a ton of majors.  ;)

Nice WITB, thx!

I hope Footjoy is throwing him a little money to wear those spikes. They look like he picked them up off the Sale rack at Dick's.

My favorite WITB.  Check his videos under the "Players" section of the Titleist website.  He has a great sense of humor, evident through Golf Boyz as well.  Two thumbs up all the way!
