Just returned from the doc.'s office, having my middle right fingers x- rayed and MRIed. My fingers started bothering me last fall after hitting buckets at the range. I thought it was a repetitive motion injury and would eventually get better, no such luck.
The doc informed me I have a bone tumor in my middle finger and the tumor needs to be removed and biopsied to see just what exactly it is. He then casually said, "Nice thing about fingers is they're easily removed". I thought he was joking, then realized he was serious.
The reality is the type of tumor I have is benign 98% of the time, so minor surgery and a few weeks recovery is most likely.
While golf can be frustrating and all consuming, it is still just a game. Please enjoy every opportunity you have to play.
