Hit both of these today at GG. Got my free sleeve of balls. Yadda yadda yadda.

Strangely enough, I didn't much like the X Hot fairway at all, and I'm a huge Callaway fairway fan. Loved the look and the quality, but the feel and results just weren't there for me. I did however, LOVE the Razr Fit Xtreme. Was hitting it much further than the X Hot on average. I just simply hit the RFX better.

Must clarify, this wasn't the X Hot Pro fairway, as they didn't have any of those. Don't know how much better I'd be with the pro version.

(Still, I think I'm gonna get the X Hot Pro hybrid though. Hit that today as well. Hit it perfectly straight and consistent, and I know hybrids are much more versatile. Hoping to go with a Razr Fit Xtreme 3 wood and an 18* X Hot Pro hybrid by the end of the year.)

Anybody else feeling this?

EDIT: Poor choice of words. Redone.

That's funny I was exactly the opposite, loved the look of the RFE as I liked the original since it had a small compact shape. The XHP just out preformed the RFE for me & was the longest 3wood I've hit in a long time but def wasn't 50 yards longer as you said, not sure thats possible? Guys at Callaway got the x100 shaft to play perfect in my 15 XHP & couldn't be happier. This 3wood just plain works, now if I could just figure out which driver ill be keeping in the bag.

I didn't get a chance to hit either one but did take a look at them. I did not like how the X Hot looked at setup, the RFE looked much better in my eye.

The 50 yards longer was just my way of showing you how much better I hit the Xtreme than the X Hot.

Just couldn't get a great shot out of it. I'm not saying the RFX gave me 50 extra yards, I'm saying that there was a 50 yard gap between the two because every shot I hit with the X Hot was a crap shot. More my fault than the club's.

You know what? I'm just gonna take that out... :D

-_-

It's not BS, it's embarrassing. I hit the X Hot a low low average of 180 and the RFX an average of 230. That's a 50 yard gap.

I never said it made me superman. :/

Could be the shaft of the RFX fit your swing better thus the better results.  Either way, they're both great clubs.

I think they both are great clubs. I really don't see the price difference between the xhot pro and xtreme. I can understand the price hike in the driver due to more adjustability but there really isn't that much more in the extreme than the xhot pro. Both have top shafts so that to me wouldn't be the difference.  Maybe the 7M3 shaft/trinity costs Callaway more the the px in the xhot pro. Either way both look to be fantastic. I like the look of the xhot pro a bit better. It has a slightly deeper face and the shape for some reason is just better. I can't really put my finger on what it is.  I will know for sure in a day or so as I will be testing the whole new range and getting fitted for a new driver and irons.  I already have the irons in transit. The irons is more to see what tweaks may be needed.

Hit the X Hot and RFE 3 woods today briefly at Dick's.  They didn't have X Hot Pro.  This Dick's is so bad they didn't even have tees so I hit them all off the mat.  SS with both was around 96 mph.  Both with respective stock stiff shafts.  Average carry with the RFE was about 205 with total distance of about 225.  Average carry with X Hot was about 215 with average overall distance of about 237.  Quite a big difference in favor of th X Hot.

X Hot launched about a degree higher and had less spin, although I don't remember what the exact sping numbers were.  Dispersion was pretty good with both ... hit just about everything a tad left of center.  I am thinking of getting an X Hot Pro with the one degree open face ... just contemplating which shaft to get.  I liked the stock Project X but would love to try a Blueboard for the extra $75.  Going to get a 4 wood but Dick's only had 3's and 5's.

I did it the easy way...XHP in the 15* and RFE in the 18*...found the at since I like 2 fw's in the bag, the gap was better spilt having the RFE as the 5 wood.  Love the look and feel of both of them, they both have Motore Speeder VC 8.1X in the and I really like this shaft.

I  was  at the  ely  callaway  performance  center  and while I  had better numbers  with the x hot pro 3 wood and 3 deep, I fell  in love with the rfx 3 wood  and I  am ordering it  next week. I  wanted to  get the xhp to  match my tour  issue xhp 7.5  but  it didn't work out that way.
