I have a new RFX with the 7m3 Black Tie shaft. I love the driver; looks great, very soild, and long.

Initially had too much of a tendancy to hook. Initially, I changed the setting to "open", and then reversed the weights for a neutral setting. I then set it back to square, and started bombing it.

My question is that on the adapter for the settings, the part of the adapter on the shaft has a white notch on it. I found no reference to this mark and how it is used for making adjustments in the instructions included with the wrench.

Can anyone explain? Or is this an alignment mark meant to remain in one position, with the only movement being of the O,S,C sleeve part of the adapter?

Hope I explained this right, and thanks for your help.

It stays the same. By keeping it the same, your shaft never turns. In other word, your graphics on your shaft are always at the same place.
Am i understanding your  question?

Yes you are. So it is not part of the adjustment process, only the sleeve itself?

Thanks.

White line on adaptor/shaft lines up with head white line. Only the o/c/s ring rotates to adjust face and loft.
