[golfpros1]

I took this video of Jamie annihilating a golf ball.  Track Man says first one carried about 385 (he was warming up)... second one 400 yard carry.  Wind was hurting as well but I'm sure the vendors on the other side of OCN were happy about that, else he would have started to take people out.

I say nice job Callaway for being the new long drive OEM.

BTW, 5 degrees of loft with open face (so like 4 degrees of effective loft) on X Hot driver, 48" XXXX shaft.  Didn't catch shaft type but I would assume his signature version from house of forged.

Wow, that is absurd. I would like to have been able to see the ball flight, but his swing is sooo fast, its awesome to see

I just got whiplash, a hernia, and gingervitis in my knee watching that swing...geeez!  What was his ball flight like other than insane fast?  Piercing? High?

I think he has about a 210ish mph ball speed.

It's usually just a straight out piercing flight and high. Search youtube for other vids of his.

Euh, it means he hit over people at the other end of the driving range. The diameter of the driving range is around 350 yards!

If the end was 350 and he flew 400, doesn't that mean he cleared the line?

Callaway signed him earlier in the year.

Adams is pulling out of LDA, Callaway stepped up and is now the LDA supplier/sponsor so they will have a lot of LDA exposure for 2013

towering shots that never wanted to come down. his driver only has 5 degrees of loft, but it's an open face so it's more  like 4 degrees, but he hits it pretty high.  he actually had a driver setup like his own that people could hit, and let me tell you, people couldn't even get that thing airborne.

BTW, he said that switching to Callaway X Hot driver, his long drive version of course, that his drivers last a lot longer and he's picked up quite a bit of ball speed compared to what he was using (like 12mph).  He was really impressed with Callaway and has been testing with them quite a lot in CA.

Those that were there, what's he using in this shot?

Someone I know is saying that the club flexes that much during the swing, and I'm trying to explain that extreme bending is a function of the camera's slow progressive scan exposing the sensor at different times because his swing is so fast, it can't catch a snapshot all at once due to the nature of the camera/sensor/rolling shutter.

Jamie puts on a show of sorts... he hits whippy clubs, short clubs, stuff like that.  I wasn't there at that moment but I've seen him do that stuff before.

Interesting. He still had Adams listed on his webpage, so I was confused.

That's awesome that Callaway picked him up. For no rational reason, if I am choosing between Callaway and Adams this year, I will go Callaway due to the sponsorship.
