Well I have worked my vibrams now for 3 times on the course and I love it. The comfort is fantastic, though I do slip a few times even on dry grass. I will take the slips though for the fantastic comfort of wearing these for 18 holes or less.

I don't care if a shoe looks hideous to some, it is all personal opinion. I find them fantastic and cool looking. But most important to me is that they feel great and feel much better than normal shoes on the course.
Which model are you wearing that you slip? I have been considering the TrekSport, but I just saw the new Spyridon and that aggressive sole really seems perfect for golf. Multi-directional grip with some grip towards the outside edges of the foot which golfers would need as we get to the edges of our front foot in the downswing.

I wear these daily, Vibram Speed. And yes I am thinking of trying out the Spyridon LS for golfing. Much more aggressive sole which should or would help

True Linkswear shoes follow the same barefoot mantra.

Why because they are not wearing some stiff shoes that make your feet uncomfortable? Not sure why you make a statement like that, really dumb comment.

Because it was funny to say, and even with out the five finger shoes. modern golf shoes have gotten very flexible and pretty comfortable. I have some of thes shoes that I have used for running, (very sparingly) most individuals dont even understand the purpose or how to use these shoes to their benefit. that is why I say they are senseless for golf.

I saw similar shoes to this in Sport Check today. I was intrigued and thought about trying on a pair. Then I though, if these are meant to be worn barefoot (as the advertising displays) how can I try them on? Did someone else have them on?

Called Vibram Customer Service today. The official launch of the Five Fingers golf shoes is July 2013. The model is the Speed XC Lite. Going with the "trek" sole.

Big mistake in my opinion, I think they should go with the Spyridon sole. Much more aggressive with tons of feel still.

I will be getting the Spyridon before I get the Speed XC lite.

Ya know, you may be right. Comparing this sole to the Spyridon, it seems like the Spyridon has much more traction.

And I would think something with more aggressive traction would be the choice for a golf shoe.

Are there any details about the version from the PGA show that was styled like a wingtip?

OK so I went out and grabbed a pair. Not the Spyridon, but I got the KMD Sport LS. Great feeling shoes and will be taking them on a test run to the course this weekend
