They are coming! The rumors were true!

Thought I would re-post these, in case they were lost in the original generic thread.

No idea, I think this is the first anyone has ever seen of them.

It looks like they've designed a new heel-stabilizing insole for them, which is awesome. That was my main complaint with wearing my regular Vibrams to play golf, too much of my heel rolling around.

Judging from their other prices, I'd guess these will probably be in the $120 - $140 range.

@AshleyKMayo who is an editor for Golf Digest tweeted a pic of these yesterday to see people's reactions.  Cool colors.  I think they would be great practice shoes because they should provide great feedback as to what your feet are doing during your swing (footwork is important, you guys).

They are called the Vibram Speed XC Lite and should be out by Spring.

So, are these specifically designed for golf, or just another shoe in their lineup.

They are interesting and I would give them a try.  However, the possible draw back I see is that they
don't support the ball of the foot.  If you play very ground soft courses they are probably, but not too
good on hard surfaces.

LOL.  Grumpy cat finally made it to Golfwrx, and we share the same feelings on these shoes.  A definitive no.

I love my regular Vibrams and I would have no problem trying the golf version. With that being said, I am completely thrilled with my True Linkswear True Tours and am not really inclined to mess with what I consider perfection.

Just wondering where you got the info on the new heel-stabilizing insole. I think those insoles in the pics were sizing devices but I am not sure. This looks identical to the TrekSport model so I am wondering if there is indeed any "golf" specific tech in this new five fingers shoe. Anyone know?

Ya know, maybe you're right. I had heard from someone at Vibram's that they were working on a golf-specific shoe.

Then I saw these pics from the PGA show and assumed this was the shoe. I saw the insole picture and assumed this was the shoe insole. I just put 2 and 2 together, but maybe not...?

To be continued, I guess.

Never tried Vibrams since they don't make large sizes, confident they won't be starting with these.  Thank goodness for Trues.

Hey, I didn't like them either when I first saw them. I think I referred to them as "dirty hippie" shoes.

Then you try on a pair, and immediately start to forget about how they look... athletic shoes should be about function anyway.

I have Norwegian toes. Do they customize toe length? I'll post pics when I get to my camera.
