LOL. People refuse to take responsibility for themselves anymore. Embarrassing. Just my opinion...

Has anybody got anything original to say on this topic? Will anything posted on this topic on this forum really change anything? What a waste of bandwidth.
I think this forum needs one sticky thread at the top...

"Slow play containment thread"

Everyones gripes about slow play can go there. No more new threads.

Lots of forums do this for consistantly re-occuring topics like this.

I'm going to write a book, "Great Ways to Spend Time On the Golf Course When Not Playing Golf" and dedicate it to all the golfers I know who aren't allow to play the 3 hour rounds they are entitled to. Unless it could be crammed into 140 characters, filmed and put on You Tube, or injected into their butts, a book that said anything important would never sell, though. In the current world, "War and Peace" would have to be condensed to "W" and even "Old Man and the Sea" would have to be shortened to "Old".

Seriously, I love to play at my own rhythm. That rhythm is quick. But, golf is a dish that can be served either hot or cold. It is the only activity that I know of that many of us measure our satisfaction with the thing we love most by how fast we can get away from it.

John Paramor and Andy McFee have just issued a video to all the players (and officials) on the European Tour. It demonstrates good and bad practice but more significantly it makes it clear that the European Tour will be coming down hard on slow play and shows just what the referees are being instructed to do. The 50/40 second allowances and loss of position will be strictly monitored and enforced.

Looks like you've found this thread useful after all.

That's ashame.  Letting three groups play through will really slow things down as well.

I'm not sure which is worse...

9 holes in 3:25 or 18 in 1:30?

I know for a fact that neither of them read this forum so the thread will have made no contribution to the European Tour's line.

You really are plugged in if you know for a fact Paramour's and McFee's secret pleasure computer practices. But apparently some think it was of value to chime in on yet another thread on this issue and apparently you have found it worth reading if just to chime in your displeasure at others spending time on it. Not that I know that for a fact.

You did add some useful info on steps the European Tour has taken. That's really what Kymar and I are trying to say; sometimes nuggets do show even on redundant threads.

Apologies. Unintentional typo.

Heh, heh. Yes, I realized it too when you caught me on my typo. Maybe a habit from ensuring I add "u"s for the Queen's English spelling and ignoring the spell-check corrections on a US site. :blush2:
