I was trying to find details on the Project X velocity shaft in the Callaway X hot pro fairway wood.  I had read that it was an "after market" shaft but I can't find any info from the shaft manufacturer.  Has anyone seen any details.  Thanks

Does anyone know why the Callaway version appears to be white and the shaft on Project X's website appears to be black? Apart from the Tour 52 version, which is white, but not available on the Cally X Hot?

Confused, sorry.

Do a search for the archive of the Q&A with Callaway and True Temper. If I remember correctly the info you want is in post #93. The shafts in the X Hot Pros are the PXv Tours.

Thanks, I found the Q & A and post #93 mentioned the PXv, but no real specs.  The Callaway web site says the X hot pro fairway wood shaft specs for the PXv 6.0 are:71 grams, mid tourque,  high kick point.  Is this the same shaft as the aftermarket PXv tour?

3 putt Charlie:

This is from post #93 of the Q&A. Take a look at the last sentence:

PXv Tour:  This is a heaver weight version of the PXv Tour 52 for players that prefer heavier shafts.  We went back and looked at our most popular shafts from the PX Blue Tour Issue line and modeled each flex based on those shafts which is why there is a drastic weight progression.  We found that 6.5 and 7.0 players prefer a 70 gram shaft but the better 5.5 and 6.0 players want something in the mid 60s.  When Callaway tested this shaft in XHot pro they found that it was the right weight and performance for the stronger player that would be buying XHot pro.  This version is available stock in Xhot pro and in the aftermarket.

All the specs are on the PX website.

So then this shaft is real deal?  For both the XHot and XHP?  I talked to a callaway rep yesterday who swore that the Razr Fit Xtreme shafts were legit but I forgot to ask about XH and XHP.
