Bunch of randos on a resort course for the PGA. Par appears to be around -5.

On the Euro Tour, Woods and Rory both miss the cut.

Stallings and Howell in contention....i am willing to watch that.

And even though it would have been nice to watch them, gotta admit it's pretty funny that Rory and Tiger missed the cut the week that commercial came out.

That's the shame in it. The course in Dubai looked amazing, but I can't watch the Euro tour without someone to cheer for.

oh they'll be plenty of chances to watch them LOL. It was a little funny :)

Looks like Howell has a shot at birdie to take the lead. He's played well lately. Maybe this is the start of a good year for him.

Nike has every right to be pissed with their newest poster boy. Stinking it up and folding like a cheap suit was bad enough, but ditching the method mid tourney was an unforgivable kick in the guts. No class.

What do you mean "No class"?

How long was it before Tiger (with Nike) ditched the Scotty? How's his putting, NOW, with the Method?

At that time, he was thinking (with the Scotty): Just let me get the speed right! Today, (with the Method) he's thinking: Am I going to get close?

We don't need McIlroy and Woods to make a tournament worth watching. I was happy to be able to watch some other really good talents this weekend.

I mean his week was done. No need to drop the slipper into nike by ditching their putter.

I agree. I mean on the second day...c'mon man. It's not like he was gonna switch putters and all of a sudden come roaring back and win the tournement. I can understand if he switched after a couple months and it wasnt working, but after 1 day?! The least he could have done was give it a chance, considering they are paying him $200 MILLION. Usually very hard to find anything to criticise rory on, but this was a Very distasteful move by rory in my opinion.

Not dreadful IMO.  Both courses are beautiful, and both tournaments came down to the last hole (or extra holes) with lots of guys having the opportunity to win.  To me that's exciting golf.

I will agree that Rory throwing the Method under the bus was a bit hasty and very unprofessional considering he'd just cashed Nike's check.
If his agent knew about this and agreed with it the man should have his noggin examined.

The short knocker wins the Hummana. Gotta love it.

Yep, I absolutely agree. I stayed up late/woke up early Wednesday and Thursday night to watch Tiger and Rory in Abu Dhabi. Didn't watch a single minute of the 3rd or final round.

Watched about 10 minutes of the playoff today at the Humana when I got home. Was not happy with the leaders being at -24...too low.

I think Rory could have handled himself a little better this week. Changing putters after one round was shocking and he didn't even improve much the next day with the Scotty Cameron. And then afterward he goes and says, "I'm going to have to find a driver that works well for me" after playing TWO competitive rounds with it. I know he was frustrated, but man, give yourself some time to get used to it in a tournament environment. Changing things up so rapidly can't be a good idea...

What does everyone think about Tiger? Just a fluke or a sign of things to come this year? Only other time he missed the cut in his season debut was 1996.

^^^He's only missed a handful of cuts in his entire career. He probably wouldn't have missed the cut this past weekend had he called for a rules official.

Too much gloom and doom read into one tournament for both McIlroy and Woods.

Tournament has a fifty year history of scores being deep in the red. For all intents and purposes, these are resort courses- tailor made for low scores...

As an aside, not everyone needs TW to make it an interesting event. Enjoy it for what it is- top tier golf in the dead of winter...

I realize that but I like more difficult courses with scores in the low to mid teens better.

I'm sure it was good golf, but my point was that I went out of my way and changed my sleeping schedule to watch Tiger and Rory. Since they weren't in the final two rounds and I really needed to get back to a normal routine, I didn't go out of my way to watch any of the final two rounds. And I'm sure lots of others didn't tune in after the second round either.

Great week for golf, if you enjoy GOLF.
