I went to hit a few iron sets today in search for my set for 2013.

After a lot of balls, shafts and heads I came to the conclusion that the PXI Irons shafts are REALLY REALLY Good.

Feel incredible, launch high and are longer than S300.  My dispersion was much better compared to S300.  The Shafts were in both MP64s (Which I found hard to hit) And 588 CBs (Which are sooooo nice).

The CTapers were smooth as well.  All this is making me rethink my 20 year firm stance on S300s.  

Lots of choices for 2013.....

AP2s / 588 CBS / MP64s all with PXI....

It was making me excited to hit the Callaway XForged !

Does anyone have any experience with PXI Shafts in wedges?? Does it increase spin?

Any long term reviews on PXI Irons shafts?

I hit the pxi 6.0 in MP59 today, it was a thing of beauty.  I love the way the shaft felt.  My 6i ss is about 92, was getting 192-196yds consistently.  I really want to get these shafts, but I'm a little worried that after spining them, the shaft graphics will be all over the place.  That would really bother me.  I guess I can just remove them...decisions, decisions....

They were STUNNING in the cleveland 588cbs.  I hit the cbs with s300s and they were good but not great.  Today I hit this and almost ordered them on the spot.

The I had a thought in my head imagine how great my mp53s would be with these shafts???????

I have the 6.0 in a mp 53 3 iron and 69 4-pw.  They feel that good.  As for spinning I don't really see the need for it.  The play great straight in.  You can't remove the graphic either though, it is a screen print.

how is the launch on the 3 iron?

The PXi feel amazing, and for me the launch is mid-high, not super balloon high like some people believe it to be.  My distances are about the same as they always have been, it's just the consistency of launch, feel, tight dispersion and touch around the greens, chipping, bump and run, etc that make these the best shafts in golf.

yup, exactly why i didn't spine mine. Still built to MOI though

I played pxi shafts on my ap2 since it came out. I struggled to maintain my tempo consistency. Switched back s300 and shot lowest round. I had pxi in my wedges too but switched back to s400 to control my tempo issue. Pxi felt great but never found the right feeling in swing control or counter weight too.

i had em put in my wedges,  i take full swings with my wedges and prefer a consistent feeling from irons to wedges.  i havent been able to hit em yet though living in chicago.  i went to the range last monday only took driver a hybrid and 7 iron.  i can i say i had no problem flighting them low in the 7 iron but the sky was so hazy i had no idea where they were going at all on my normal swings.

mp 69's 4-p, black ox tvd 52 and 58

havent hit the wedges yet, just got em 2 weeks ago.  they dont feel too light or anything in my opinipon.  the 52 is +1/2 and the 58 +3/4 so that adds a little weight.  ill have to compare the total weight to the 52/58 mpt11/kbs tour s set  

i have a set of 59's with kbs tour custom x flex, the grips are dri tac over size, i have midsize ndmc's on the 69's.  there is only a 9 gram difference in over all weight between the 2 with the different grips.

coming from kbs tour i dont feel to much of a static weight difference.  maybe due to the balance point of the kbs tour being counter weighted.

This thread has me excited to get my JPX-800 Pros back.  They are being built with PXi 5.5 shafts right now.  I am hoping the combo feels as good as I think it should.

I just built up a 52* Vokey with a PXi 6.5 last week.  The feel on full shots is incredible and they provide just the right amount of feedback around the green.  The only thing I like better about the DG Spinner I pulled out is the check I could get on the ball on knock down shots.  The DG Spinner could put awesome action on the ball.

took my Miura 501's into my fitter yesterday to have some PXi 6.0s fitted, i was hitting my current set up, Shimada Tours, next to the PXi's and i was getting better dispersion and another 10 yards or so which is fairly significant for me as a fairly short knocker.This was on Trackman btw. I hit about 5 in a row with a deviation of around 2 yards front to back side to side with a 6 iron around 180 yards, good stuff for me! Pick them up next Wednesday after a short snowboarding break. 4 iron to 50 degree wedge for the PXi's, am sticking with the Hi Rev's in the 55c and 59c

I'll voice a counter opinion, as I didn't care for them at all.

Smooth feeling, yes. But to me the shaft feels whippy and soft. I didn't feel like I had any trajectory control or consistency. I just didn't like the feel. Maybe I should have tried the 6.5 or even the mysterious 7.0.
