I dont like Nike and thier globalisation tactics of signing up anyone and rail roading other companies
Coca cola do the same
yep they make decent gear
grab a set of mizunos and then grab a set of nike irons from a golf shop
tell me which set has quality written all over it and tell me which brand is just slapping swooosh all over it
read the history of nike book (swoosh)
I have hit every driver they have released (my mate owns a pro shop) even he hates their gear but people want it! because the swoosh factor
Nike like many of its athletes have a very few morals - they have money!!

As a lover and player of Mizuno irons, it's statements like this that are embarrassing. If you're going to bring up globalization, and rail-roading other companies, then you are talking about Taylormade. The same Taylormade that signs every golfer they can, releases equipment like the world is going to end if they don't, pays golfers to tee it up, we all know what a marketing machine Taylormade is. Who cares? Lots of people like Taylormade equipment because it performs well, or is trendy. Lots of people like Nike equipment because it performs well, and is trendy. Same with Cobra, Titleist, Mizuno, and many other OEM's. Nike signed some golfers in the offseason, all of which are doing just fine this season besides Rory with his one tourney played after a long, and as many suspect, practice neglected break, which really doesn't say much other than Rory didn't spend enough time practicing or adjusting. Case in point, he putted just as bad the 2nd day with his Scotty. Point is, everyone makes good equipment nowadays. There are scratch golfers everywhere using all different kinds of equipment. I myself play Mizuno MP 58's and love them, but I've hit the new Nike stuff and was very impressed, especially with the irons. Play what you want and what works for you, and let others do the same, instead of ranting on and on about Nike and how much you don't like them.
