I'm glad to hear this comment... I think Callaway has done so many things right this year. The last Callaway 3 wood I really enjoyed was the Steelhead III so knowing that its every bit as long if not maybe even longer than TEE leaves me satisfied

However your first comment is probably directed towards me. Simply it's what you read and what is actual that are two different things. If I can hit the x hot pro against the xcg6 and post the stats next week I will.  It's not a pissing contest like some have said its simply comments like:  this is the longest 3 wood and if you tell me different you are  wrong that is... WRONG

i prefer a high launch on my 3 wood so it doesnt run out and over green so much, but i dont play in the wind in VA. so his low launch is good for the wind he deals with. im at least 2* higher with my 3 wood, but i launch high to begin with

Hey ... That wasn't directed just at you .. and to preface - the thing I HATE about the interenet the MOST is you can't tell the author tone sometimes .. I had a smile on my face when I posted ... cuz I like the banter .. and let's be honest - TEE AIN'T NO SLOUCH ;)

Ole Ceaser - Cpt. Taylor-Wrx himself lately ( and that is a compliment - I posted on your thread  - you're a good egg ) is wearing out his keyboard on this thread keeping the TM flag in site like Orlando Bloom fighting of Salahuddin in Jerusalem (for those of you who aren't movie buffs - That's a Kingdom of Heaven reference ;) )

ALL GOOD gents ... Lets face it ... The OEMs HAVE TO !!!!!!!!!!!!! make good stuff or they will die - and they KNOW IT !!!!

Let the 3 wood war BEGIN !!!!!!!!!!!! ... Let's have some fun

Pssssttttt ... I vote Cally ...

Lucky you Caesar, everytime I play in VA or MD it seems like I run into 20mph winds.  The only time it's calm is when its 100 degrees and I'm hung over.

So who wants to put the same shaft into an X Hot 3 wood and compare to a TEE CB?  Robo???

Mad Love for the Steelhead...........Played a whole set till the driver head failed, and literally flew off 50yd into the fescue on  Par 5.  Unfortunately due to the tall grass I was unable to locate the head. In addition the tee was exposed to a house with children at play, their vocabulary MAY have been expanded in the wrong direction.

Discourse and Debate is a good thing right.......Everyones opinions, ARE, what make this site great.  I get the most out of, people sharing their swing types, comparing their old equipment, and numbers against the new stuff.   We all know the spin machines of the OEM's are weapons of MASS CONFUSION, grass roots is WRX.

Man, these posts are KILLING me!!!  I just got the RFE in, but I'm still waiting on my Versa Black #1w, X Forged irons, and X Hot Pro 13.5....Patience has never been my strong suit.  I have a feeling that this is going to be a great year on the course.

Sure you are - And you should - and I LOVE that you do  ... There isn't a swingin d*** on this site that doesn't know what a KILLER time you had at TMAG ... and who doesn't know how proud your are to use their stuff now. I LOVE IT

Hey ... I got my Cally flag out ... ADMITTEDLY ... and I love it ... Now I also (like you) will still try em all ... But i love my whole Cally bag of goodies / my experience in Carlsbad / my fellow Callawrx'rs / the guys at Cally etc etc etc ... I am soaking it all in ... Bathing in it ... It's cool ... and I couldn't care less if anyone has a problem with that - cuz I know 99.99999999% of everyeone on here gets it - and gets where I am coming from

It's still just golf ... We all love

So Ceaser - get yer flag out - paint your face - write a TMAG chant ... WHY NOT ... I am ;)

Here ... How bout a pic for the impending war

I can't speak much since I never hit the x hot pro but the TEE xcg6 should be as forgiving as the x hot pro and just as long. The cb5 is not as forgiving though.

Apologies. I was only referencing the CB series of woods as that's all I have personal experience with. I've never hit the XCG variants of TEE fairway woods, but I've heard they're outstanding as well. So when I was comparing the two, it was a reference to the CB fairway woods and the XHP fairway wood. Sorry I didn't make that clearer in my post. When someone says 'TEE' I immediately think CB series...

+ a gagillion on the love for Steelhead. The last Callaway fairway wood I played I believe was the Steelhead Plus 4+ wood. Buddy of mine actually has it right now, but I loved that thing. I could hit baby draws with that guy all day long.

And mad respect to you for that last sentence I bolded.

I'll be comparing the X Hot Pro (that I will inevitably buy) with a Diablo Edge Tour and a TEE XCG-3, but unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of using the same shaft in all of them, unless I happen to come upon a small fortune between now and then. Or just two Fubuki AX 85s.

looks like Phi is sticking with the RBZ huh...must mean TM is better than Cally (just kidding).

It is funny how last year no one cared much about Cally on the boards and this year they are definately making some noise.  I for one am looking forward to trying the XHOts.

wow hes till got the franken fairway in? thats surprising. i guess he just doesnt have the xhot dialed in yet, or the RBZ is just perfectly tuned for him right now as a baby driver and fairway finder. i have no doubts he will put the xhot in sooner or later

I saw a picture on www.golf.com yesterday of Phil playing a Titleist fairway wood. Looked like an older 905 model. I couldn't quite make out what it was. I'm sure someone knows what his favorite Titleist fairway wood is on this board...
