I had a very fortunate opportunity yesterday to demo a lot of the new 2013 Callaway stuff. I plan to update with more detail in a day or so. but I wanted to share this with everyone right away..

The numbers you are looking at are from Trackman.

IMG_01781.JPG

Those numbers are from a FREAKING 3 WOOD !!!!

Now if you look at some of the other numbers like in the 250 range those were off the deck.  I got into the 270 range off the tee.

I was hitting the X Hot Pro....and I don't think there is a word in the english language that does this thing justice..   The best words I can think of to describe it would be EPIC, and PERFECTION !!!

I urge everyone to just give this thing a chance.....

EDIT ; ok for those of you that get easy offended,  the above post is my opinion only.  I will say it is the longest 3w i have ever hit

What is most impressive to me is not just the ballspeeds, but the consistency of the ballspeeds!

With the other hot 3 woods, I've seen a pretty big drop in ballspeed if you miss the sweet spot.  Though, I haven't hit this years stuff...

In 50 degree weather, into the wind, those would have been very good numbers for a driver.  I can't wait to get my x hot pro fairway wood.

Great stuff, just was on ForeSight today comparing my Burner '07 TP gamer to the RBZ head I never much used to the XHot non-pro I have.  XHot blew them all away......by a bunch.
May throw something up with some pics.

I would say in your situation, maybe look at moving to the non-Pro model as you could use the extra launch and hit it even further, and have the ability to make it stop quicker on a green.

did yours launch this low? is it easy to get a good high launch on it in order to be able to stop it on a green instead of getting the 25 yards of roll out he was getting?

XHot launched approx 1.5 degrees higher than RBZ, and degree'ish higher than Burner '07 TP......left printout elsewhere, will have back in my possession tomorrow to update.  I remember peak trajectory in XHot being about 20+ feet higher.

YES - same shafts

Ok for those of you asking about the low launch...  this was a fitting for me and it was setup for the conditions I was asking for....I live in Kansas where it is very windy and I specifically asked to have a setup with a low launch and low spin for the wind..

That club was a 13.5* X Hot Pro with a Diamana Kai'li 80 X flex shaft in it.  and i was trying to hit the low bullet with this thing.. So that is one main reason I was so surprised with the result. If we had set this thing up for higher launch and low spin and try to go for the home run ball I have no doubt that in still air and a higher temp that i can take this thing over 300 .

Not to be a jerk but I believe a TEE 3 wood is just as long... Now if to say I am wrong I challenge you. Both are great 3 woods and awesome numbers btw. I'm glad you like your 3 wood!

At first I thought it was for a driver and thought it was great considering it was into the wind but wow a 3 wood?  Trackman's are pretty accurate.  I can't wait to try this baby.

But its not $300. I know TEEs are good or one of the best FW but no other OEMs got ever this close.

I agree with you there,  I just got my TEE for $245 brand new on eBay with a fubuki tour, but retail is $70 more at $300 vs. $230 of the x hot. However to the original post that's why I said the TEE is just as good, not factoring in price to anything. Nike is going to have a big year, but Cally's equipment is AMAZING this year!

I got my X Hot pro 3 wood on Monday.  Between work and cold temps, I haven't had a chance to hit it.  Seeing this post is making me want to get out even worse.  I think I may go to my local fitter tomorrow to hit it on his trackman vs my current 910f.  I'll post what I come up with, especially if there is a noticeable difference.  Supposed to be 60 here this weekend as well.  I can't wait to try this out!

No. I'm a high ball hitter and have no problems elevating it. I can hit it plenty high and get a nice roll out. Um. I don't know of any 3 wood that would stop on a dime. I don't get 25 yards of rollout. More like 10 or so.
