From Graphite Design:

The Tour AD GT design features an overall slightly stiffer profile than the Tour AD DJ, resulting in a higher kick point that produces a MID trajectory while maintaining optimal control. Like similar Tour AD wood shafts, the new Tour AD GT provides a player with amazing feel and improved performance in Accuracy and Distance.

The new Tour AD GT shaft is available in four weights: The 55 gram Tour AD GT 5 (R1, R2 and S flexes); The 65 gram Tour AD GT 6 (SR, S, and X flexes); The 75 gram Tour AD GT 7 (S and X flexes); and The 87 gram Tour AD GT 8 (S and X flexes).

I was at an independent fitters a week or so ago and he had these lying on his table, at first I thought they were BB's but he pointed out that they are 2013 stock, look good!

They pulled out of the US. Doesn't mean they stopped making shafts though. I wonder how readily available this will be or is this something that was in development prior to that decision. Or are these out of Japan development.

They are still in the us. I believe it's called pro's choice golf shafts or something like that who is handling their US distribution. It would've been an unwise move to leave the US altogether.

Fantastic looking color scheme. Since the Tour AD DI I'm a big fan of their products. This shaft just works in every driver head for me.

i must admit the colour scheme is nice and not overtly out there as the AD DI. might be onto a winner here. Now only to hit it

Erik Boysen I think.

"Erik Boysen, the current tour promotions and marketing manager for GDI, will be in charge of tour support for the company."

Erik,

Some of us were curious about the line up, like how each profile fits in, and I had questions about the TX flex that we see. Thanks in advance.

Oh, and of course a big thanks to Greg for the pictures, these look much better in his photos than what the Pros Choice site is showing.

Erik,

Here is a response about the TX flex that Erik posted a couple years ago to another thread:

"The TX is a tour issue only shaft with is 10 CPM stiffer that a x-flex shaft it's not a XX. It has lower torque and is alway produced when a new model is introduced on tour. For example DJ6,7 and 8 TX. We even have DI's 6.5, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 which are slightly heavier (3 to 4 grams )and lower torque than the DI-6, 7, 8, 9 and 10's. Robert Karlsson plays a DI6 TX tipped 1.25 in a 910 head."

This might answer your question.

Tour AD DI is High Launch / Low Spin
Tour AD BB is Mid Launch / Low Spin

Tour AD DJ High Launch / Mid Spin
Tour AD GT Mid Launch / Mid Spin

Trying to keep it simple.....TX is tour only. I think some posted my reply a couple of months ago.

Questions?

Erik

I stopped reading after "this shaft will retail for $380."

I'm sorry, but no shaft is worth that much money.
