Why get new woods?

have been reading the clevelad reviews and its made me really want it but seems like a waste to replace it for something that will do the same thing.
Ive never been one of these guys who fills the bag with new stuff every year.

You just proved my point. Wonder how many people seen the 50 yards advertised with the Hammer? Wonder how many seen the 17 yards with the RBZ? Or the R11 vs the R11S? I've been scratch since the early 00's and I have yet to see any increase in distance with any new driver. They're just easier to adjust without having to work at it. If the technology is so great you wouldn't see similar driving distance to what we seen nearly 15 years ago. Guys are just more fit now and the ball is MUCH better and yet distance is decreasing over the last few years. The R&D has basically capped how much longer any driver or ball can be, that's why I think it's a waste of money to buy anything new.

The newer high COR fairway woods are worth looking at though. They'll make more par5s reachable for more people.
