Rory and Tiger got me all hyped up!

Thinking about
VRS Covert Tour Driver
VR LE 3 and 5 woods
Irons similar to AP1?
New 2013 Nike Wedges
Method Midnight 006 putter

Sooooo if Rory went to Hippo would you be gaming all Hippo clubs this season??? J/K

I've always been intrigued by Nike clubs, and have always worn only Nike golf cloths on the course. And I gotta admit that commercial was AWESOME!

Don't be suprised to see a bunch of Titleist clubs flooding the BST! haha.

It would be funny if the tour Camerons drop in price.

All Nike?  Hold on, I am thinking about it... After careful consideration and extensive product testing in the last 30 seconds, I have concluded that all Nike clubs are a terrible and inferior product when compared to other clubs and will never buy one!

i'm really liking the simplicity and performance (and color!) of my Titleist clubs.  plan on sticking with all Titleist until i like something better.  Nike makes some really nice irons though.

When I saw Rory's announcement thing the other day, I really wondered if paying an athlete all that money to play your equipment really did bring in sales.  I guess it does.

Do you people really believe that signing Rory automatically made Nike golf clubs better?

They were good before and have not changed in 2 days.

Yeah but Lee Westwood and Louis Oosthuizen still play Ping.

Louis is cool.

How cool will they be if Rory doesn't start the season off so well?  I do like him and in the end hope he does well, but if he doesn't win one of his first 6 or 7 tournaments, and or doesn't play well in the masters, the media will have a field day with his switch to Nike.  Particularly the putter if he doesn't putt well.  Perhaps it is my love for chaos, but I kind of want to see that happen.

Heck no, but it makes me whole lot feel better about the deal I'm on the hook for.

I'm confused as to how Rory being PAID to use equipment suddenly makes that equipment more desirable.

(not to be a jerk in this response by any means, I just really don't understand it)

Thought about it previously, but the drivers and putters kept me from considering it seriously. I prefer a very soft feel to the face and need a head with no offset so that kind of takes me out of it for the flat stick. Maybe things will change with this newest set but their old drivers and woods sounded like butt when they made contact. Mizuno's big thing is "the sound of feel" for a reason, and it does nothing for your confidence to be bracing for that sound every time you're going off the tee.

Anyway, who knows what the future may hold.

What's making me want to try Nike is the good stuff they have coming out. I've hit the covert tour and loved it so I'll probably buy one. I used to have sv tour wedges and a sumo 4950 but moved on to different stuff. Nike Sasquatch fairway was really good for me as well. Honestly I'm not a fan of rory or tiger because I usually pull for the underdogs but I still like Nike equipment.

I hope he plays better in this years Masters than he has the last two Masters with Titleist!!!!

I like the VR Pro Blades the same now as I did before Rory switched. I would play them regardless. I think I'll stick with my Cobra S3 Pro MB's though.

It doesn't make me wonder.  $20 million will get someone to play just about anything.

I would probably never have a bag of clubs from only one company unless I was being given the clubs for free. But if I did, Nike would be on the short list of brands I'd consider.

Celebrity endorsements don't make equipment better, they just shine a brighter light on them. The quality of the equipment will determine whether that brighter light is a good thing or not.

Nike's reputation for extensive R&D and endless resources gives me confidence that they make a good product, but I've never played them. I might give it a look now that it's on my mind.

+1000

Nike already had great club offerings... people keep forgetting that Rory just showed up to the party about 2 years ago... Tiger has been hosting it for a whole lot longer (and I'm not a Tiger "fanboy").

Pretty sure I'm going to stick with my TItleist MB/CB combo, Vokey wedges, Scotty Cameron and 910 3 wood..... The Driver spot is up for grabs though my old faithful Ping G2 broke last summer (face caved in..) so maybe the Nike Covert tour, maybe the Callaway RFE, Titleist 913, Ping Anser, depends on the numbers when I go and get fitted. I'm guessing that is what we all should do, go try loads see what looks good and gives the right numbers and hey presto best club FOR YOU!

Saying that they will sell a bucketload, Tiger and Rory, pretty good marketing tools there....

I do like their hats though! So no nike hate from me!
