Yeah I don't play in the AJGA but i'm pretty sure you have to be in the high 70's or below to get into the tourneys.

Nice.... whenever I hit downhill down wind I hit it bad so my long drive is 270.

Yesterday my 12 year old shot an 80 at Franklin Canyon.  Last hole(506yds)  hit his drive 262, 2nd shot 3 wood 224 yds over water to slightly right of green in front of bunker, 20 yds pitch to pin.  His longest drive in a tournament.

His best score was a 78 at the Bridges in San Ramon.

Wow thats a long drive! I'm 14 and my longest is 270. I shot a 81 when I was 11 but not in a tournament!

He's getting much better roll from this new driver configuration.  Its a Superfast 2.0 8.5 degree TP model with a 50 gram RIP Phenom regular shaft.  The RIP really controls squaring the driver head, and with the fade bias of the Superfast TP he can really let 'er rip and not hook the drive like he sometimes does with his other drivers.  Much tighter dispersion, many of his drives were straight or in the case of the last one a slight draw with tons of rollout.  His previous drivers were just ballooning too much and he was losing distrance overall.  But Sunday his drives were 30-50 yds longer than the other boys in his threesome

It was also the first tournament where he used the Rocketballz tour 3 wood.  Wow, his other Ping 3 wood would be a 180-200 club, but the RBZ tour 3 got them out 210-230, it's a beast.

Sound like me in high school, I shot no lower than 90 in tournaments and one round I shot 90 with 45 putts hitting 12 greens in regulation, but in practice with my coach we would go back in fourth with each other in the high 30's just about anywhere.
