As official production information is exceedingly difficult to come by, I thought I would list the Slazenger BeCu putter variants I have encountered over the years.  While the Slazenger production models only represent roughly 62% of the total Ping BeCu production models (21), they are every bit as good.  Similar to Ping's BeCu putter line, Slazenger's BC Series first hit the market in the late 1980s:

BC 301
BC 304
BC 305
BC 306
BC 308
BC 310
BC 312
BC 313
BC 504
BC 508
BC 510
BC 608 (left hand)
BC 706

finchi5,

I believe his involvement with the Slazenger line was after the BeCu BC Series Slazenger putters described in this thread which were UK manufacture as I understand it.

The five copper putter models Currie designed for Slazenger were the LCB1, LCP1, PCP1, SCB1 and SCP1.

I've seen a 'LBP1' described as BeCu as well, is this correct or does the 'B' standard for something else, Bronze? It does look like copper but could just be an extremely heavy patina.

I received a Currie LBP1 today and I bought it also in the idea, that it's beryllium copper
The first impression was bronze, after a bit of scratching and polishing I thought copper,
if it is BeCu, it's different from my Ping BeCus, if its bronze, it's different from my bronze Ping putters

maybe its in the name, as you suggest

kind regards
Andreas

Skipperation,

  LBP1 is decoded as L (long hosel)/B (bronze)/P (putter)/1 (model 1).

Andreas,

  Your LBP1 is bronze.
