The amount of close-mindedness on this board towards Nike is just amazing to me.
So you've pretty much covered every thread suggesting your amazement in anti Nike...
This is an online forum with varying opinions regarding all things golf. Is it necessary we all love whatever Nike does in the game?
Not everyone is going to have a positive view regarding the brand- send to be said for every OEM out there. Deal with it. Don't take it so personally. After all, its just golf equipment...
Thanks, if we're all able to have our own opinions, then let me have mine, and say what I want to say.
If this were Rory signing with Mizuno, or if Rory had come onto Tour playing Callaway, and this was about him switching to Titleist, would the things said on this topic about Rory's move apply? Not at all. That's the sad thing.
Your opinion (that you think you have the right to share) is that those with a negative view of Nike don't have the right to share their opinion.
Because that makes sense.
It's not. My opnion is that I am amazed at how many people are still anti-Nike for a variety of reasons, and that you wouldn't see this some of the stuff that's been posted if he had just signed with Mizuno or Titleist. That's all. Everyone is welcome to their own opinions, and those with negative opinions towards Nike products can certainly have there opinion, but posts about how the Method putters are junk compared to Scotty Cameron's will never cease to amaze me. Fair enough?
WHAT!?!? YOU WOULD NEVER SEE TITLEIST BASHING ON GOLFWRX!?!?
Are you new here? People flame titleist all the time, probably way more than Nike if you take the scottybashing into account. I think you need to read a few more threads dude!

This.

1. People presume the Scotty is better then the Method and are hoping he just makes due. Baffles my mind
2. Rory said the Covert is flat out better then his Titleist as he is hitting 180mph ball speeds whereas the Titleist was mid 170's.
3. Moved to 10.5* in the driver which is very telling that the Covert pro is a low spin head.
4. Commercial is hilarious.
Well said.

Maybe Tiger had not switched drivers at that point and will in the future.

Tiger still has the Vr Tour in the bag.

Apologies for the double post.
I bet Nike is a little bummed that TW has not converted to the covert yet.

In this case it isn't a manufacturer saying the new driver is X yards longer. Almost every Nike staffer is saying they have picked up a couple mph ball speed with the covert drivers. It's not out of the realm of possibility that they may in fact be telling the truth. The cavity back design really is something no other manufacturer is doing.
$28 is really pricey for a glove.

Actually when I saw Knight, the thought that immediately popped into my head was "With those glasses, I feel like I'm watching a scene with the dead guy in 'Weekend at Bernie's'".

Think those were Nike jeans Rory was wearing? He is head to toe now...
This is the only comment about the jeans so far? Wow?
I saw the presser on morning drive and was like. Dude - You show up to this new head to toe mega deal in jeans? Really? If I was the President of Nike i would not be a happy camper. And to take this further - Who the hell from his own camp let him walk out there in jeans and not a pair of Nike Golf pants? Wow - Something is a bit off here. I don't know if the nice kid with all the talent in the world from RNI is saying something or just forgot/lost track of time (again) about the richest pay day of his life press event.
I wish Nike well and Rory well.
But that was really a head scratcher trotting out there in those jeans. Who "allowed" let a lone "blessed" that? Anyone but Rory?
Do any of guys work at a Fortune 100 company? Fortune 1000? Even i know not to show up wearing jeans to a major annoucement press release about ME?
Really the most strange thing?
I can just here Cindy screaming at someone afterwards "i flew half around the world for him to come out in freak'n jeans? What do you mean its not in the %&((?!# contract?! The #%+!;&* It isnt!

Jeans? Really. Who cares. I would want my million dollar signing to be himself and show up in whatever he felt was appropriate. If I was giving that much money to an athlete I hopefully know him well enough that he wouldn't surprise me by showing up looking like Snoop Dog. That is the problem with the corporate world, you are all stuffy and anal. The world is too tight in the groin area as it is, loosen up. Rory looked comfortable and clean, that is what you should want for your sponsored athlete, for him to feel comfortable.
This is probably why there never will be a press release about you. Put on some jeans and loosen up.

I seriously doubt that unless its a tour only type of head that you can get out on the tour van. It seems like adjustability is what everyone is going now. It would be cool though, and make it 380cc too!
