Oh my god, this is  the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.   I expected Rory to walk out with a guitar and start playing Stairway to Heaven.

You're not missing anything.   This is Sooooooo overdone it's a joke.   Smoke machines and golf should never go together.   There was a laser show.   Now Phil Knight is talking in sunglasses, doing a terminator impression I think.

q & a session....cindy davis & rory. says he has always associated nike as representing the best. watching tiger, feds & rafa influenced him. went to the oven to get a better idea of how things work behind the scenes. vrs covert driver (claims to be hitting it even farther), vr limited fairway wood, vr pro blades, nike method putter.

Honestly I think it's cool. It's the biggest player in the sport, what did you guys expect? He is golf now, so it isn't surprising to see this much hype. It's deserved.

Rory signed the contract on his own.  He wasn't blackmailed and forced to sign it.  The more i think about his answer on the putter, i wouldn't be surprised if he does have the option to go back, but just doesn't want it to get out because he hopes he will not have to do make the switch back.

I'm anxious to see what line of apparel Rory will be sporting.  I really liked the Nike jacket he was wearing.

Nike can pay me hundreds of millions of dollars and hold me "hostage" anytime.  

Nike would be foolish to invest all that money in RM and have him play clubs that are not Nike.  I am sure that came up in the negotiation process and Nike forked over a few more $$ to get the 14 clubs into the bag.
