I'd all be for Warren...great track in always nice shape....gets a low amount of play...good size grill room...pretty much cold sandwiches and beer.....never anybody in there....I think whittaker gets most of its play on the weekends...a co-worker had the entire course to himself on a tuesday.....whittaker has the best fairways of just about anywere....greens are about a 7.5-8ish.....both of those options are running about 75 on the weekend off the top of my head....Harbor Shores in may would be pretty salty....don't think I'm way off saying 145....unique layout with three different style 6 hole courses for lack of a better way to describe it...but even Jack said this year he overdid it with the greens....rarely...and I mean rarely do you have a putt that only breaks one way.....fun to play but......whittaker is about 15 minutes northwest of michigan city, In..off of 94......brassie i could take or leave...If I'm gonna play in valpo I'll play forest park!!..FP!!!....classic little course always in nice shape....couple of holes you can air it out....small greens..usually kept in nice shape for a muni....35 bucks on a weekend i think....that's I think the extend of my knowledge of golf in Northeast, IN...now if you want to talk south bend to do a middle ground location for kalamazoo grand rapids guys ...Elbel is awesome just off the toll road....Blackthorn runs a close second....Warren is owned by ND and they don't count on play to pay for the course as ND alums I would guess mostly have paid its bills...probably the best course for the dollar pound for pound.....coore and crenshaw did it before the world found out they were cool!...great bunkers, greens, fairways...Hampshire in dowagiac, Mi..just north of s.bend....36 holes...slow greens...great bargain and two good layouts with about 4 boring holes....good bar...10 dollar sixers...good place for a group...
