First off, I'm not very good.  I struggle with consistant contact with almost all my irons.  That being said, I'm not terrible and I understand how to hit an iron.

I've never found a hybrid I hit well.  Tried the Ping G20 and now the Adams a12OS and neither of them suited me.  I decided to give a 3 iron a try and snagged a used one for my set, and surprisingly, I can hit it.  Not every everytime, but about 70% of the time I can hit it crisp and flush.  I'd love to take advantage of the benefits of a hybrid.  Any idea why a mid-high capper would have more success with a 3i than a 3h or 4h?

I've never seen you hit a ball so this is only a guess and something to try. Try your hybrid and choke down on it slightly. If that fails choke down slightly further until you find the right length for you. I had the same problem. I bought it but had trouble hitting it consistantly. I ended up taking off 1 inch and just that one inch has made it my go to club. Golf clubs are like a bowling ball. You can use one off the rack and play but if its drilled to fit your hand and the right weight you'll most certianly score better.
