For what it's worth, I'm a 14 in my Nike Free Running shoes, I was a VERY solid 14 in Adidas Tour 360's and I'm a 13 in the Tours and Protos. The Protos are incredible, True's Customer Service is off the Charts spectacular. This is the kind of company that you are thrilled to tell Friends about. Now, if Mother Nature would back off on Winter here in Chicago, I'd like to go play in them! I've only had them in the local Golf Dome.

Has anyone bought the Sensei's for RUNNING? I was putting 6 miles a day on my Free's last year and its time for a new pair. I've thought about the Sensei's, otherwise ill just still with another pair of Free's. I'd love to hear about any experiences, I know Mr. True ran the marathon in them.

Called around and finally got a Golftown with Protos in stock.  They actually have last years tour & PHX for $75.  I picked up the Sensei & Proto.  I'm going to exchange the White Proto for a black pair (had some wonky stitching).  Just around the house these are so comfy.

I wear Vibram Treksport's and Kimodo sport LS's for working out and tredmill, but get tired of the looks and having to explain.

I'm a little interested in the TW, only cause I love playing tennis in some old Free7.0's.

Can anyone compare the True's to the new TW'13?

I have tried both recently but take my response with a grain of salt, I have slightly wide and very flat feet.  The supported arch in the TW 13 is very annoying to me.  TW 13 run a size small. True Linkswear are far more comfy and are true to size. I love the barefoot feel, and it feels like I have more stability with the Trues actually and so I really don't see anything bad with the grip. The TW's are probably better when playing in the rain. Still trying to get past the weird toe box but its functional so I'll accept it.  The True IMO got the TW's beat, in all categories BUT traction but only by a little because I havent really seen how both perform in wet conditions.

Man, I thought I had a problem ordering these things..  (6 pair).  This is like a True Linkswear rehab meeting.

lol yeah, I kinda expected some issues since the sizes seem to be all over the place depending on year.  I went ahead and ordered another pair a half size smaller, will check those and most likely send the 11.5's back.  To be honest if my buddy didn't rave about his so much I probably wouldn't bother, but I would like to have at least one pair of decent soft/traveling shoes, so gonna stick it out. :).

1/2 smaller seems to be the trick, so will give them a go this weekend weather permitting...

Thanks Nukerazn.  I tried the TW13's on, and just too narrow a toebox for my flat feet.  So I have the black Proto's for cooler wet conditions and the white Sensei's for dryer short weather.  Now I think i want the brown PHX's with the electric blue sole for leisure.

Finally got a chance to try on the Proto.  They seem to be 1/2 size smaller than the Tour or Sensei. Can anyone else elaborate?

Sorry for the old post bump, but I wanted to thank Rob and company for such a great product. Picked up a pair of 2012 Tours a few months ago and haven't looked back; best golf shoes (maybe shoe, period) ever. Recently added a pair of 2012 Stealths and walked 18 in them out of them; I wind up taking them off and giving playing partners who invariably ask about them a closer look while we're waiting to hit. Just got back from four days of travel with the Stealths being the only pair of shoes I packed and wore for the whole time. Have.a pair of 2012 PHXs on the way; that'll make 3 pair and I can see adding 2013 Chukkas, Protos and/or Senseis to the mix.

You have built a better mouse trap, guys; one that's a godsend for the walking golfer.

Thank you

I don't own a pair of Protos, but the insole is removable on my Tours, Stealths and PHXs so I'd have to believe that's the case throughout the line. I don't use orthotics, but you should be able to use them. Of course, that'd defeat the zero drop / barefoot concept inherent in the design.

Exactly.  Trues are meant to give the wearer a barefoot experience. Using orthotics really defeats the purpose.

Just make sure you try them on and make sure they fit before you wear them outside. Their return policy states that they will only take the shoes back in unworn and new condition.

With the great customer service that they have, I am sure they probably have made exceptions. But I am just trying to help you avoid hurdles in case you need to send them back.
