We are both type A personalities and very VERY competitive. Neither one of us likes to lose to the other. Makes for a fun round. It has it's down side too because if we have an "argument" boy neither backs down....*sigh...yea I lose those too

Don't refer to her as your wife, but "she who must be obeyed" and everything will work out fine. ha ha

You're a Lucky man! I just wish my wife would play. Her love language is quality time. I keep telling her that she should learn to play and come spend the afternoon on the course with me. That seems like good "quality time" to me. Lol She just doesn't understand my addiction!

This is how it starts.  First putting, then she beats you for 9 holes, then 18 holes in front of your buddy's.  That progression took my wife about 10 years.  She has always been a better putter.

I played my wife once, on an executive course by our house, and gave her a crazy amount of strokes.  Our bet was for a steak dinner, which we were going to anyway, but the loser would have to pay.  

Long story short, it actually came down to putts on the last hole.  She 3 putted, and I got up and down to win by 1  (I'd have paid if we tied).  Felt bad, for a little while, but I got over it quick. The steak tasted great!

I am thinking she could beat me if she had more time to work on her game..but with two kids, work and everything else life throws at you it's hard to get out.

I was lucky...my wife was a college jock and all she needed was that one pure hit and that type A personality took over and she was hooked.

No worries my friend...I can detect the silly..lol...Yea she doesn't do it all the time, she is one of those players that if there is a divot anywhere near where she wasnts to tee up it will drive her nuts and she has to move and she doesn't care where that may be. lol
