No pictures of the irons at all? Coincidence?

There's a photo of the complete set of irons. It was a rush shoot as DJ & Bobby (who is sick) wanted to get back to the hotel for some much needed rest

No coincidence or conspiracy at all

That's why I love this site.  My first thought seeing the bag was...."I wonder which RIP he plays in the 3/5 woods?"  And then I pan down and there is a pic of the shaft!  Well done.  Can't believe he has the Alpha 90 in those things.  I tried it in my 3 wood and it is a friggin' telephone pole.  Beta 80 will be going in soon.

As always, great pics!! The access you get is unbelievable.

Awesome to see he still plays a R9 fw.  Love that fw head.

Great pics.  Loving those irons, my R11 irons could be in trouble.  Is it me or do the soles of the tour irons look very flat (straight)?  also, seems like most of the scotty guys have stuck with the older silver finish (as opposed to black) without the deep milling of the current Selects.

According to the other threads, it's not even an R1....lol.  Looks like a standard R1 to me with a 1.5 sleeve.  Nice pics.

R1 v2 - more pair shape than the retail offering, lower CC

Just another reason I have a hard time buying newly released TM products.

Does he have a special all grey R1 bag?  I like it better than the orange and grey one.

Yeah he did not want to have any Clemson colors on that thing.  I read an article earlier where he refused to have the orange stripe on his bag since he is a South Carolina fan. I can't say I blame him.  Is there a side shot of the bag itself?

Did he mention how much over length his irons are? Isn't he around 6'4"-6'5"?

The irons are not like the R9 B version at all. Best comparison is they are very much like the retail R 9 irons. A little thicker than the MC on the top line. VERY similar to the R9 irons. I do have all sets,so I consider myself to be qualified to make the comparison. Great feeling iron. I have mine shafted with Nippon Modus 3 shafts. Note: The faces do have swirl milling marks.

Is that R1 shaft a FUEL 2.0 I see? (as in version 2)

Didn't the FUEL shaft just come out?

They aren't that dissimilar though.  The B's have onset and the Rocketbladez Tour have very little offset.  They aren't exactly the same, but over profile and initial look are pretty similar.  IMO they are more like the B's than the regular R9Tp's in profile, shape and offset progression.

There's a whole separate thread on the Fuel shaft at The Sony Open with 2 pages of comments and info

Haha! Plus I don't think that Greg could capture anything near what she put out herself via instagram/Twitter. Some serious attention seeking going on with the Gretzky girl.

Not complainin'...Just sayin'

Also, I thought TMag was shying away from painting their shafts with the release of the R1.

Am I missing something here? Or am I just wrong in assuming so?

Well... R9 , R11 and R11s adapters aren't going to fit with R1 head.
Anyway, I think TM made some different loft adapters for tour players.

Yea, someone has to know what the deal is here....my guess is it is the R1 head V2 size, but with the older sleeve design in the hosel. Makes sense to have this type of head for the Pro's....there is no need to offer one loft to them as they know what loft they need with minors tweaking and keeping the hosel the same as the past makes sense.

Now that would the head to try....all my shafts would fit, though I prefer as much forgiveness as possible.

It looks like the Stage 2 adapter. We have both clubs and the Stage 2 adapter fits into the R1 head.
