I would think if anyone is getting ready to dump $500 on a R1, why not spend a little more and get the driver that the best players are using?
Will have you hit it yet? Early reports are it plays a lot like a R7425 or 510TP, can you confirm or deny?

Not pointed at you TDO, but if it plays a lot like those two drivers, why spend mucho $$$& for it then. Those other two can be had for a small amount of coin. I Know.....ball speed and spin....Loved both by the way
The #1 reason IMO would be forgiveness across the face on miss hits. Dated drivers show significant loss in ball speed on heeled or toed balls compared to the newest heads.
Plus the R1 has paint on the top that helps with alignment, but better players don't notice the paint. JK

more than likely going to end up with the retail version, i hit a retail version of the R7 superQuad for years though and loved it...
went to titlelist 910D3 when they came out still hitting that today but im really wanting to see what this R1 can do....

The way Dustin Johnson was pounding it makes me what to hit it. I'm happy with my RBZ tour though. Prolly should save the money and invest in lessons.
