There needs to be some sort of contrasting color with the white.  If the webpage was framed, it would be perfect.

Nice work with the Responsive Web Design. Just taking old vs. new isn't a good comparison since you have to factor how much better it's going to look and perform on all devices. Personally, 99% of my time on the site is in the forums (I'd be curious how the traffic breaks down between home page/articles vs. forums), so this won't affect me too much, but always nice to freshen it up.

Wondering, was this just a style change, or did you guys have to make the change for some reason - technical, software changes, etc?

This only happened once but I figured I'd mention it. When I rolled my mouse over the CLASSIFIEDS tab, the dropdown menu displayed behind the ad on the top of the screen.

Looks good but looks like there are still a bunch of pages/forums that need some work.  Menu bar is crashing/overlapping some stuff at the top.    FYI- I'm viewing in Safari on an iPad.

Top nav bar does not render well on android devices. I'll attach photos and video in a moment. Zooming in on android the menu stays Persistent on the screen and Doesn't stay attached on the top and scales all wrong. Menu Should not stay Persistent on screen when scrolling or zooming.20130109_202036.jpg 20130109_203144.jpg

The top Nav bar is HUGE!!

Like I said, I'm on Firefox and it takes up 1/3 of a laptop screen.

This was my initial gut response as well.   It's new though and change always takes a few views before I can "adjust".

My first thought was, WRX have gone and done some tie-in promotion with Taylor Made.

That aside, I agree with others that say the top nav text is too big, it needs to come down a notch or two, as it is far too easy for it to go onto two lines if your browser window isn't big enough.

The opacity of the drop-down menus may be an issue as well, with busy adverts behind them they are not as clear as they should be.

We needed a new frontpage. The old one was broken on multiple fronts. We were pouring in $$$ to repair and add common bells and whistles. At the end it was still not modern. We have a lot of custom programs that need to be brought over when we do these updates to so it was a lot of work. Responsive to. We see a few nav bugs in the forums and are working now to fix. Eventually the black part of the top should disappear as you scroll down in the forums. Working in it.

Does not do that on the iPad.  But the zoom function effects the menu bar and the posts differently.

I'm sure all will be resolved in due time. There have been issues in the past when making changes.  This kind of stuff happens.  I'm glad easyyy started this thread and is actively reading it.  I'm confident the concerns will be addressed.

Also, any way to add. The WTB forum link  under the classifieds menu?

Oh yeah. No doubt... Thanks!  :)  Floating menus are a huge issue in css design and why 99 percent of the sites dont have them. Lock em up stationary. (its a small div issue. ;) )

Nav bar is fixed and it looks sharp...Thanks!!

Constructive criticism = The content portion of the site looks very sterile with the over abundance of white...to the point that it's taxing on the eyes.

I'm sure you'll get it worked out.

Keep up the good work!!

Nag bar looking good now on iPad Safari.

Another minor issue, when viewing iPad horizontally... If I click on the 'forums' on the nav bar, the drop down menu drops longer than the screen.  And because the nav is independent I'm unable to scroll to the bottom of the menu, but the posts will scroll while the menu stays there.

Ok, cool. Close. are you trying to have a floating nav bar? If not, it should be the div right below the top gray bar (with search, sign out, etc...)  and have the essentially the same attributes for width. Ill go to my main comp... Gimme a sec.

I think this may be happening because there are more items in the nav bar when you get to the forums, and its narrowing the drop down menu and forcing items on to two lines.

Ok, on the main computer.. looks great for larger screen.

On smaller screen, zooming on the android, a user cannot scroll left and right on the top menu items. can't get to user , search, signout, etc, wwithout having to zoom all the way back out.

The menu items still take over the screen and are persistant over everything when zooming. (Yes, I know you're working on it)
