I've had this grip for a while now(couple of months or so), and after doing lots of testing (and rolling lots of putts) I feel like I can finally write up a review on it.

First and foremost, I like Super Stroke's products.  I've liked the Ultra Slim, the Slim Lite, Fatso, 17" Slim Belly, and 21" belly grips.  I've become fond of the company and the product they offer.  I talk with one of the reps fairly frequently, and ask questions about product rather frequently, and he's always forthcoming and honest about them.

So, why the reason to use the Mid Slim?  Well, sometimes the Slim or Fatso feel too large and sometimes the Ultraslim feels too small (I've got an assortment of them here, lol).  This one fills a need/want I have.  It's right between the Ultra Slim and Slim line-up.  This one also has the newer texture (as the older models didn't have near the depth in the etchings as the newer models have).  Why do I mention the texture?  Well, these grips seem to hold up better in wet conditions, as far as traction is concerned, than their predecessors.  The only change I know of is the texture to the grip (material is the same for the outer surface). Another thing I like about the Mid Slim 2.0?  You can feel the resonance of every putt you hit just a slight hair better.  More feel in putting is always a plus right(it is to me anyway)?  I've tried this on a few putters by blowing it on and off of them, and currently, it's on the CS Manta (as seen below)

I've put this sucker through the ringer (whether intentional or unintentional).  I rarely play in the rain, but I had a chance around 7 rounds ago, as it started raining on #3 and didn't stop all day.  This grip held up nicely all day and I never felt like the grip was slipping.  I've played in the cold as well where winter gloves were required (34 degrees was the high).  Again, I never lost touch with the grip slipping or anything from near numbness.

I realize this isn't my normal layout for a review that I've done, nor is it nearly as long (I'm sure more than a few people are thankful for that).  But, I have to give this grip my ringing endorsement.  Love this sucker.  Only thing I wished were different?  I'd love to see this in a 12-13 inch length, as I do like to use the claw grip on short putts from time to time.  The longer grip would give me a little more room room split my hands up a hair more.

I have the same set up except lefty and the head is not tricked out. I too find the grip responsive and a perfect size. This type of grip would benefit someone with a sbst stroke and wants more feedback from a bigger size grip. Definitely recommend it!

Btw where did you have the head painted? Looks great!

Nice review. Love mine on a nome. This is the goldilocks of super stroke IMO. The ultra slim was too small, slim was too big, mid slim is just right

RB,

I just put one onto my back-up putter.. I really like the size (most likely will be putting one on my gamer now too)

Great review.  Here's a couple pics of mine:

Nice review. I currently play the slim on my gamer. The fatso is definitely too big and the ultra slim is too small. Something between the ultra slim and slim is worth trying at some point.

I've been thinking about trying one of these grips. I like the idea of trying on a spare putter. Thanks for the review.

Anyone know how the size of the Mid Slim compares to the Tiger Shark?  I have a new putter with the Tiger Shark on it not real happy with the size.  I would like it to be bigger.

I have no way to get the grip off without cutting it.  I would have to order a Mid Slim as no one near me carries one.  It's all trial and error with me.

Funkey-

If you're looking for a larger grip than the Tigershark, you will have to look into the Fatso.  The Mid Slim will be a touch smaller than the Tigershark UltraTac you are talking about.  The SuperStroke Slim will be close to the same size as it.

Is the Mid Slim a "pistol" type grip?? Is the front flat or is the grip as a whole more rounded?

Thanks!

The Mid Slim is a non-tapering, roundback grip with a flat front panel.  It is not a "pistol" style grip like the Tigershark line.  Hope this helps!

When will these be in stores?  I know I can order them through GS but I would like to hold it in my hands before I pull the trigger.

I'm curious about this as well....

RookieBlue- I got a little confused reading your review...most the new texture is the same just different material? I was hoping the new grip would feel less slick as my hands sweat a LOT. Did I just read this wrong?

I think he said the opposite. Material is same and texture is all new. If he played 15 holes in the rain w/o issue that sounds good to me.

I have used at least 5 different Ultra Slim grips on different putters in the last year. I also had one of the new textured Ultra Slim models on a putter.  I like the texture must better then the non texture model.

Over the weekend I had one of the Mid Slim 2.0 models put on.  Bottom line it is the perfect size for me.  The 50 gram weight makes the putter feel much better. I would definitely recommend it.  It also does fit in the dividers in your golf bag.

Really pleased that I made the change.

Received my Mid-Slim about a week ago.  To me they really got it right this time.  The size, the texture and the feel are just perfect.  I really like this grip and it fits my needs perfectly!

This is correct. Same material, different texturing to it. Doesn't get slick at all, as my unintentional rainy round will attest lol. I hate playing in the rain but I hadn't played in a few weeks so we finished out the round.

Just saw them at GS locally.  They absolutely got it right with this one.  $24.95 is still to expensive, but I will be shelling it out tomorrow to put it on my putter.  Fits perfect in my hands and has a great texture.  The graphics are made for TV.  I wished they had reversed it somehow where instead of the name below your hands it would have been the colors, but again they are made for TV.  Very excited about getting it on and rolling it around this weekend.

I have a Tigershark which doesn't sit very well in my hands due to the more pistol style configuration.

The SS Mid Slim would be a good fit but they haven't landed locally yet to test out.

Is there an alternative option that is current and may provide a similar feel?

Had a (probably stupid) question about these grips.

If you buy a 33" putter but are found to need a 34 or 35" later on, can these grips effectively lengthen the club without altering the overall 'feel'?

You would still need an extension.

Is that a big deal/expense? I've got a Scotty that is perfect at 35" & acquired another at 33" I would like to lengthen.

If you take it to a shop like PGA superstore or Golf Galaxy adding the lengthing should be about $10-$15 but they also charge for the regripping too.

I'm going to have to try this size out b/c I felt the slim was too small for me so hopefullyt this fits the bill.

If the Slim was too small for you this is smaller.

This is between the SLIM and Ultra SLIM
