Can somebody tell me why the 2-iron is a muscleback (like every other iron in his bag) but the three-iron is a Titleist CAVITY BACK?

Seems odd, don't it?

I'll get some tomorrow.  He was putting with it when I shot the bag and then went right out to play.

Crazy degree gaps in the wedges.  8 and 4 degree.

Greg do you know if they are bent to space it out equally?

My guess is he probably switches between 2 iron and 5 wood.

Why?  Stock shaft is good enough for Bud but not WRXers.

I would love to compare the 18 deg 5 f-d vs 712u 2 iron. I have a bad feeling my dream will only be seen behind the ropes. I am left handed.

The guy is playing a stock shaft in his driver... he plays what works.  Why is it weird to be playing a 910 fairway wood?  Plenty of guys still playing those, I didn't see it as weird.

I bet the 3 wood is one of the clubs these guys change the least or it has to be something all around better...still see older models in play all the time, 906F's, TM Burner TP 07's...etc..Maybe he just prefers the 910 over the 913...could be a weight placement difference in the two heads he prefers.  no telling...

It could be something as simple as comfort or confidence.

The stock shaft literally has nothing to do with his 3 wood. I just figured since he changed over his 5 wood he would also change the 3 wood.

The point that I was trying to make was he uses what works.  The 3 wood obviously works, the stock shaft obviously works.  When you play for a paycheck I don't think matching your fairway woods matters, you just play what gets the job done.  Nevermind.

I'm sure Bud is a happy dude tonight with they way his team his team played. Absolute domination! Reminded me of the 04 Orange Bowl.

This bag is sick and almost exactly what I would play if I was on Titleist staff.

I'm not sure what you're implying here.  I suspect Bud would play whatever worked, but FWIW, the stock shaft in the 913s is a Diamana Plus Series, not a made for version similar to what we saw in the 910 series.

Thanks, first I'd heard that.  The D+ is still a stock offering, that was my point.  I had no idea this point was going to be this hard to grasp so I apologize.

Still doesn't explain why the 3 iron is a CB unlike any other iron in the bag?...

I'm guessing he wants a little more forgiveness in the top side of his bag, like most people would. Maybe the 712U is more forgiving than it looks?

There are more old three woods than any other stick on the tour.  Hardest club to find one that works off tee and deck.
